Expressing regret is not a problem either. I think some folks are caught up with political alliances so that anything the other side does is bad. I don't see a problem with expressing regret while at the same time asking others to acknowledge their own biases. This is what Obama is trying to do.

What's with the "white guilt"? We are talking about America here not just white but all Americans. Also, I didn't hear Obama apologize to anyone for any of America's mistakes. Acknowledging that one has made mistakes is not apologizing for it. Obama also pointed out that non-Americans need to stop the American bashing. This of course gets little to no coverage while acknowledgment of mistakes gets turned into bowing before other nations. We need to just look at the way things are instead of trying to turn it into something else.

Good grief that Gustavo is one fortunate guy! This whole event is so awful and reinforces how helpless we are if technology can't withstand nature's wrath. My condolences to the families.

Pretty amazing all the contortions of logic to justify keeping something that doesn't belong to you. Everyone here has internet access so you are not living in a box on the street. Turn it in. It doesn't belong to you. Simple, plain and straightforward!

So...if CFR controls American politics and John McCain is a CFR member that means the CFR allowed their man to be defeated by Obama because they had foreknowledge of all the appointments that he would make to his cabinet? This conspiracy theorist needs to evaluate his thinking. It's akin to predicting the future by placing chicken bones in a wooden bowl shaking it around and getting the answer to the financial crisis. Give me a break!
