The last two hostess bars I didn't go to, the girls were so averse to compensated dating outside the establishment that no agreement was made in a rather short time. These girls do not make more money out of the bar than in it.
She means the man has gotten what he wants, ends this charming cash flow, and simply moves on to spend his money on the next one. This is to be avoided at all costs. Including keeping up the myth that it doesn't happen every night after the shift ends, and every afternoon before the shift starts.

If only there was a time machine and you could go back to before the VP nomination, this would be one name you'd be hearing much less of.
But it's here now, and regretting every morning when you wake up and every night when you go to sleep, that choice for VP is just not going to change, and it's all over.
Just look at it. Sarah Palin. Now look at this. Vice President Sarah Palin. That would be just about enough to renounce citizenships and spend the rest of your days vomiting in some dark corner.

I feel it is of the utmost importance to add that it's not the cheap piece of crap beefbowl or porkball or fatgristleball places that are doing poorly, the salaryman loves that crap as he does Sukiya and Matsuya, but if you read the article before posting you'll see it's related to the slumping family restaurant business, and actually all the other factors that are written right there for you in the article. In short, it says Japan is going down the toilet. I'm readying my golden parachute before it turns brown.

Nah that's just cos the only time you ever see her is here on JT.
It's a gift though! Why just a three-day trial will double their number of annual days off work. Sorry I won't be here for the rest of the week (withhold yelps of glee), just serving my country (there's nothing individualistic about my upcoming absence). Oh ok well do your best and see you next Monday (damn you're lucky, when am I going to get my get-out-of-jail-free card?)
Just watch out for those in the back row catching up on sleep, not focusing on the case but thinking about new ways to make themselves look productive in the office, or just cutting to the chase and asking the person next to them what verdict they are going for so everybody can be the same.

Yeah answer the question rjd. When are you coming? I can give you a tour, it'll cost 12,000 yen and we'll be going to a few of my favourite souvenir shops (where I will get a nice little envelope when you're not looking) and hopefully we'll be stuck in traffic for a while, that'll burn a few hours. You should apply for a passport at least six weeks before coming though.

Thank god. Time to move forward, not backward as it would be under the rabble of a team the Repubs have put together. May they never set foot in the White House again. Ever. What a disgrace. Oh my god. Who writes this stuff?! This article takes the guessork out? Sure there are a few nice ideas above but ones like the cherry blossom tour are really for the hopeless who couldn't navigate their way out of a paper bag, and deserve to part with the cash and spend too much time in souvenir shops. Good luck to you though when you come to Japan. Hope the neon is as bright as you imagine it to be.

McCain campaign (minus the person who would become VP)'s decision breaks Thursday midday, the same day as the debate. My goodness. That's not enough time to 1) let who would be our VP know of the decision we made without her and 2) give who would be our VP enough time to memorise lines and counterlines! What a joke. Can you imagine a President Palin?! Which is all it will amount to anyway, imagining, a could-have-been nightmare and comedy at the same time. So what do you think Madame President? ・・・・・Umm can you give me more time so somebody can let me know what's been happening with that? No one has told me! I'm firing off a couple of quick emails.
