Why do you hate this good woman Palin so much?

I don't hate her, but it's obvious you like her. Does she resonate with you Sarge? Do you think she's attractive? I prefer competence. She's running for VP, do you get that Sarge? What an embarrassment. Of all the people in the country, she would be number 2? It's a moot point anyway. Accept it, Obama is the next president and Palin can go back to reading her local rag, and watching hockey but keeping an eye on the Russians.

Palin, the supposed next VP, not even consulted or informed about election strategy, that's how much McCain turns to her for advice. She then finds out in her new hobby of reading non-Alaska newspapers, and decides to try to assert herself by disputing the party's move. What a mess.

Y'all get ready for President McCain and Vice President Palin.

You should probably stop saying things like this cos once the election has rightfully gone the way of Team Force Obama you'll never hear the end of it and be you'll be further reduced to even more petty and redundant and childish retorts. Just concede now. Go on, you know you want to.

S'matter, chibaman, get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning?

Youbetcha, was having a dream about a place with space, not unlike the Hokkaido landscape above, when my elderly neighbour below started sneezing at 5.30am and woke up the neighbourhood, doggoneit.

...a campaign move she only learned about Friday morning when she read it in the newspapers.

See she does read the newspapers! Talk about being out of the loop and the decision-making process, and that's their VP. Why wasn't she consulted? Cos she has nothing of real value to say and has no clue about anything outside her tiny world up north? Palin is a gift to the Democrats. Blunder of the Repubs campaign. Maybe McCain should have spoken with her more than twice before deciding to go with the camera-friendly airhead.

Nothing more than some dream world for millions of Japanese stuffed into their tiny cramped overpriced uninsulated thin-walled might-as-well-be-living-in-the-same-room accomodation-resembling flimsy shacks.

what yard? Japanese dont have them..

Does a few potted (not pot) plants on the balcony count as a garden? Even then you'll bang your umbrella golf club into the rails I'm sure.

The Japanese should have thought things through a bit more before they decided to walk over from the mainland to this cramped space.

I think carrying that many golf balls in your umbrella, wet or dry, is more dangerous than a mere wet umbrella. Maybe they should lower golf fees if they don't want people playing on the platforms.

isihara hates foreigners so why is he so eager to have so many in tokyo at one time?

Don't worry, it will be much more about Japan than the outside if Tokyo gets the Olympics. Look how great Japan is, we have the Olympics again! Isn't Japan great! Tourists come and drop your money, marvel at our on-the-surface hospitality but don't get too comfortable, and make sure you get on that plane and go home.

Hey Jero's still around! Good for him. But how hard is it to put your cap on properly? What a clutz.

"I wanted to try shoplifting after I saw a TV program on the various ways that people shoplift."

It's important for people to have interests. Anyway, I blame the "don't try this at home but please watch our show" show. That and living in Chiba which will make you resort to crime to add a bit of spice in your life. Spice from the supermarket.

Don't care for the colour but I like the angle. Haven't got a photo of the Eiffel Tower wannabe from this stretch of pavement - is it new? Didn't know it was there.

The guy admits to having her in his car but denies what looks like "sexual assault" to me, "JT".

In my attempt to be a big man, I hastily wrote about the first case; incidentally the charges of indecent assault have been dropped.

This time the guy is being charged for みだらな行為 or indecent behaviour, under the 少年健全育成条例, laws that are concerned with little people. I hope this restores my big man status.

In sum, I don't think the headline is that bad, and I think JT is great.

SushiSake do you post all your stuff elsewhere as well? Cos you could bury Palin (and clowns) with the dinosaurs with your efforts. Keep it up, and down with stupid choices for the future.

It was more of a jibe against Chiba

While Chiba might have some serious deficiencies, chibaman cannot endorse this event and prays to any god that it rains and the bagpipes stay in there bags.

I reckon they'll get it in 2015 or 2019, one of the two. A few envelopes will take care of that, then they'll have a few foreign players in the team so losses don't blow out to 100 points.

bush, who has long enjoyed the undying support of his loyal Republicans, finds himself near-totally deserted in his finest hour of complete and utter failure as the final weeks of his final term disappear deep into the murky depths of abject, complete and total failure-soaked political nothingness.

Yoshiki is a girl, and this story is little more than media whipping it up while it's hot and getting people to stay tuned to the sumo ruckus.

chibaman - How's this: My fellow Americans have given billions to Egypt, Ethiopia, Liberia, Rwanda, Somalia... speaking of Somalia, American soldiers have spilled their blood trying to help those people over there...

    Fine.

chibaman - When talking about your fellow countrymen, people often use "we." Didn't you know that?

So your answer is zero? How about going over instead of waxing lyrical on these pages and taking credit (if there is any to be taken) for something other people are doing? Or now that you've been in Japan for a while do you just lump hundreds of millions of people into one basket?

    Moderator: Back on topic please.
