Alright tough man Hoshino, you might be spared in the tv coverage from the sheer embarrassment and post-overhype-disappointment that transpired today, but the newspapers tomorrow will leave nothing out. Shame, Hoshino, national shame. You promised us gold. Are you breaking that promise? You know how to take responsibility for this. Just don't disrupt public transportation near Chiba. Thanks and regards.

Hey howcome I can't find any coverage of Japan's shameful loss today to their rivals on a nearby peninsula that Japan once annexed? Should I assume Japan lost, as I can't find much on it. They mumbled something in a 30 second sound-bite, and then after that it was 30 more minutes of yesterday's match again, and it was pretty loud and clear that Japan won that one. So what's the deal? Did this match go ahead today? Was it postponed or something? It's like it never existed.

Yes the WBC certainly makes that clear.
And what's more outhouse/mindyou, why do Japan's best players leave Japan to play baseball in a country that is not Japan?

The Korean dominator that slammed home two runs in the 8th plays for the Yomiuri Giants. I hope everything stays civil in the aftermath.

Your answer is unsatisfactory. Please exercise some common sense and address the question in a more comprehensible manner.

Maybe I'll just jump on a Japanese forum or two and taunt them with the truth, and quote your lame, lame efforts to persuade people otherwise.

Give it up loser. They brushed over it in 45 seconds at the beginning of the 5 o'clock news, then went on about yesterday's women again for half an hour, then came back again to discuss the men's humiliation for a couple of minutes, hoping they will never have to talk about it again. The shame. Unbearable shame.

My goodness. That's quite the tune you're playing. I hope it makes you feel better. 100 year plus Olympic history with worldwide audience, versus inaugural World Baseball classic.
Don't worry, it should get easier with time.

The veteran Korean catcher was ruled out injured before the game and had to be replaced with a much less experienced guy. Oh wait, Korea won. So what's Japan's excuse? Bunch of pansies.

Don't say the "i" word. I'm sure there were external factors at play. It did rain in Beijing yesterday.

Now that I think about it, I don't understand why Ichiro, Godzilla and Dice-K left Japan in the first place. After all, Japanese baseball is the best...right?
