  As a father of two girls (9 and 12), if they were under 20 with a 22 year old suitor, I would meet him at the door with a baseball bat.

  We know more about space than we do some things on our own planet.

  I don't know whether it's possible to predict earthquakes, but I'm sure there's a long way to go in learning about them. I would suggest a full-time, dedicated, well-paid, cream-of-the-crop scientist team whose job it is to study earthquakes and their prediction, and only this.
