Good grief. JT has really opened the floodgates with this one.

But in asnwer to the question, case-by-case basis.

The last thing anyone needs are more heavily slanted twaddle passing itself off as a documentary!

    Yeah, the truth hurts.

We Japanese need a "tea-party" kind of poritics so we can get a stronger leader.

Such statements as "WE Japanese" are exactly the reasons why you definitely do NOT need a 'Tea Party' or equivalent.

Did somebody, with all the security and pro-gun lobbyists hanging round this political rally, actually shoot the guy? No! They wrestled him to the ground using their bare hands. In fact, if somebody did try to shoot the guy it might have caused even more mayhem and casualties in that crowded and chaotic scene. You can't stop'em all, so why not make it harder for them to embark on these killing sprees using guns? It's not surprising that there's a school/work/blahblahblah shooting with multiple deaths every week or month anymore in America. Wake up and smell the cordite (and the copious amounts of blood), your gun control systems are not working.

    Brilliantly put.

But that doesn't change the fact that guns are proven to be effective self-defense tools.

Why stop at owning guns? Why not let everyone own grenades, nuclear warheads and fighter jets so they can 'defend' themselves? Not a bad idea eh? Then if one nutjob decides to nuke somewhere, the rest of you can go "oh, he was an exception".

Fortunately, we still have multiple news sources in the U.S.

Fox news isn't a credible source. In fact, there's hardly any 'real' journalism. I don't mean "left-wing" either.

Have you ever read my postings about the time someone tried to mug me? Long story short, I used my gun in self-defense successfully, and didn't even have to fire it, as is the case with many (if not most) incidents of armed self-defense in America.

That nutjob was armed with a gun, too?

Just look for a website titled "The Armed Citizen". Hundreds of reports on there.

A nice, neutral website you've pointed out there. Well done.

So only the authorities (police and military) should have guns?

You point out Limbaugh, Beck, and Coulter, and yet none of them call for killing people. They do talk about fighting those who disagree with them,

Wrong. Beck joked about killing Michael Moore. Research it.

    When not in self-defense, yes.

    No, period.

The logic that "I need a gun to defend myself incase someone uses one on me" is compltely flawed logic. How on earth do you use a gun in "self defence"? Sharp-shoot a bullet into their wrist and disarm them from whatever weapon they might be carrying?

The fact that anyone has the right to own a gun is an unfortunate, out-dated law. All it takes is for one nut-job to lose it or snap, and carnage ensues. Columbine?

Believe it or not, you do NOT need guns to function as a society and keep law and order. And the above article is a classic case of why the public should not be allowed anywhere near a firearm, let alone OWN one.

“Arizona is a state where people are firearms owners — this was just a deranged individual.”

Cretin. People who own firearms to use on other people are deragned. Simple.

    @Chotto

What are you talking about? Read my post above incase you were unclear the first time round

horserfella and Carcharodon are 110% correct. I worked the club circuit for more than 15 years. LOL. What internationally renouned and repsectable clubs are we talking here? Amnesia, Avalon, Gatecrasher, Arches, The Gallery, Turnmills, Roseland Ballroom, Space? Do enlighten me! Your local town/area does not count! Don't make yourself sound more clued up than you actually are, you make yourself sound stupid.

There is no other music (perhaps with the exception of J-pop) that is more agonizing and more torturous than water-boarding than the club music that has been mind numbing than Trance, House, Dance. That's because you have ZERO clue about what real EDM acutally is. Do some research.

How can you stand it without taking ANY kind or some sort of hallucinogenic to stand that kind of mental abuse. Jumping up and down, throwing light sticks around, So by that logic, the only way to enjoy rock is by being stoned out of your head, you can only enjoy rap by carrying out drive-by shootings, and classical music you can only enjoy it by carrying a glass of champagne and wearing a monacle. What uttlerly, utterly ludcirous stereo-types. Surely your extensive experience on "on the club circuit" (haha), would have told you otherwise.

no beat or rhythm whatsoever. Do you actually know what a time signature is? Most trance, house progressive is at least based on 4/4 beats. You really proving yourself to be utterly clueless.

Horsefella, and Carcharodon, the fact that you choose to lump trance, dance and house all in the same category shows that you have aboslutely no hope of being able to comprehend a genre that is way beyond your understanding. And no. *dun, dun, dun, dun dun dun" is not funny or orignial. I suggest you listen to Chicane from 1997, 2000 to start you off. And before you call me uneducated in music, I play the violin and piano etc. Sigh, I wsih I could talk to you about this topic in person. From your comments, you appear ignorant.

JPop is easy to listen to and I would take it over rubbish like trance music.

You obviously have no idea what real trance music is.

The exhibits at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum are quite open about Japanese wartime atrocities and the disastrous steps that led to the Pacific war.

A paragraph here and there doesn't count.

What you don't seem to understand, is that it's all very well campaigning for peace, but refusal to acknowlkedge or admit WHY these events occurred in the first place, makes the whole excercise pointles.. The reason the world has nuclear weapons, is because of countries like wartime Japan and Germany. Note how they don't cmapaign against invading other countries etc, only nuclear weapons. If anything, they've only themselves to blame. There will never be a world without nuclear weapons, and all the better for it.

    Japan ALWAYS the victim, again.

The people who died in Hiroshima were mostly innocent women and children, who had no part in the war So were the women and children in Nanking that the JAPANESE army raped, wrapped in barbed wire, mutilated, set on fire and buried alive.

A murderer comes and kills your sister. Does that justify you going out and murdering the murderer's sister? Hell no, she had just had the misfortune to be related to the sociopath, but she's done nothing wrong.

I don't think I've read a more ludcirous comparison. These two examples are not even remotely comparable. Your government in the war was voted in by the men. Excatly, what did you expect America do? Round up all the war criminals and expect them to wait whilst they neatly gathered together and waited for a bomb to be dropped?

Tell me Frungy, exactly when is Japan going to build a museum acknowledging its wartime atrocities, massacres and holocausts?

    War is between soldiers.

Frungy, tell me about the Jewish army vs the Luftwaffe.

Trying to make the entire issue behind words like "nations", and "countries", just tries to pretend that issues like individual rights disappear when you have sufficient numbers of individuals. It's sophistry.

Rubbish. You cannot describe war between countires in any other way.
