The Ryokans near me wrap up breakfast around 9am. I mean seriously, who wants to go on holiday to have to wake up by 8.30 at the latest?

Agreed. The vuvuzela was kinda a good intimidating atmosphere when England and USA were walking out the tunnel, but it became irritating.
As already mentioned above, I'd rather hear some African chanting, normal crowd noises and the occasional vuvuzela than a constant stream of it.

It was constant during the England game. I don't think it ever stopped.

Those pesky caucasians.
I feel the old dear, but really, walking around with 6 million yen in cash? That is just utterly stupid anywhere, but especially in Tokyo.

Moderator: It will be released in Japan in the fall.

Sorry, that is just rubbish. Have you tried living in the UK or Tokyo for example, and tried to find the money yourself to put enough down for a place of your own? Believe me, it's not in the slightest bit easy.

I think it's a nice photo.
The executions in China are run by bureaucrats. It's not as if Wen oversees and authorises every single one. A bit like America and the death penatly, really.
Moderator: Stay on topic please. Your reference to America and the death penalty is irrelevant.

They'd make an exception for XP ;-)
My real beef is with iPods. Their sound quality is greatly lacking, almost poor. Thus I don't understand why so many people buy them, like I don't understand why so many people like all the crap in the Top 40 music charts.
It's not a question of being 'loyal' to anything, it's a question about what does things best. Maintaining my laptop has required zero-maintenance, save for virus updates. If Apple made good stuff, I'd use that, but fact is I don't beleive they do. I like the Google Maps feature on the iPhone but that's it. And I'm not in a hurry to buy an app that makes a toilet flushing sound anytime soon, save for the time if I bought an iPad.
If your PC is slow, there is something wrong with it. My Lenovo laptop is over 3 years old and it runs lightening-fast. Very happy with it.
