I watched 9/11 massacres live on TV. There's no way it was demolition. I believe it was Al-Qaida.

Can you home-school in Japan? After the school couldn't/ or wouldn't do anything I'd take the child out of the school if I were able. Something needs to be changed in what morals Japanese kids are learning in a school setting, bullying to that extent is NOT ok. They were still babies in my eyes! So young.. :[

@ MistWizard You obviously weren't paying attention to the Japanese media because when I said "half the people complained about it" I was talking about the Japanese commentary.
And to be honest stormcrow makes a good point, what Japanese PM has ever gone to Nanjing, and apologized for that atrocity? Or have any Japanese PM ever apologized for kidnapping and raping thousand of Korean women over multiple decades? or apologized for conducting experiments on Chinese people who they considered less than human?.. no I didn't think so.

What's the point? The U.S. sent someone during the memorial and half the people complained about it.

Voting IS a duty of a country's citizens, but if it becomes mandatory what are the consequences for those who don't vote? Fine them? Jail them? That's just ridiculous. Rather then making voting mandatory, countries should just better educate their people of the benefits of voting, educate them on the issues, educate them on history and modern politics, etc. An uneducated vote, is a vote for an ignorant public.

If voting was compulsory then people who don't know anything about the candidates or issues will be voting, and be useless votes. How is that productive? People SHOULD care, but you can force people to.

I don't really care about this, it ain't really news, but those voting should know, Obama didn't do it just once, but seven times since it happened. BP and Obama are both idiots.

Then why feel the need to dress like a Brittney Spears wanna-be? To be honest, not even a good one.

I don't care that Japan kills whales, (but they should cover it up with a 'scientific research' lie. ) Australia.. let them do what they want.

"An agreement to move the base to a less populated part of the island was made in 1996, but Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama said he wanted to rework that deal when he came to power last year."
Dumb mistake.

Come one, seriously think for a minute, I'm not condoning the history of American troops taking the land and whatever, but what are the Okinawans going to do with the land if they get it back anyway? Their economy is so bad on the island they don't have the money to invert it into parks or houses or whatever. The bases are just going to sit there and fall apart. My time in Okinawa has shown me people desperate for money, maybe so many people are protesting because they need a target for their anger. Even my host parents (old school generation) think that the US bases should just stay where they are, (although soldiers should behave better).
