Maybe things have changed in the past quarter-century.
I had my first child at St Luke's in Tokyo, and apart from the doctor being a bit bemused that I wanted my husband to be present at the birth (and even more bemused that he would 'want to watch(!)') I encountered…
Their company gives employees whale meat. Their company pays for the whale meat.
According to the former employee who spoke to Greenpeace, the meat in question is in addition to the formally announced number of tons of whalemeat in which the 'gifted' meat is included. They're saying in effect that…
I don't understand your take on this. If huge amounts of whalemeat are being embezzled, that means there is less whalemeat left over for you to hope to eat through legitimate channels. You should be spitting fire at the thought of the institutionalised theft that Kyodo Senpaku and…
Maybe Seino Transportation needs to file a complaint with police against the icr, Kyodo Senpaku and/or the 12 crewmen, for involving them in the unwitting distribution of stolen goods over the past decade or so.
Boggle no more. No one from Greenpeace felt compelled to eat any whale meat. That claim is obviously bogus. The only report of it is a single photo on an anonymous blog. It has no credibility whatsoever.
Those delivery men are pretty tough. People who lift heavy things for a living would chuck 23.5 kilos around like you or I would handle a 5-kilo dumbbell. The nokyo ojisan around here throw 30-kilo sacks of rice around like beanbags and don't even get a sweat up.
What weight do you think is the maximum that might be contained in these 93 boxes?
Does it matter? Embezzlement is embezzlement. Theft is theft. Misappropriation is misappropriation. Peculating from the taxpayer is peculating from the taxpayer.
93 boxes of 23 kilos each means 2,139 kilos, or 2.1 tons.
The report says at least 93 boxes. And we don't know if 23.5 kilos is small, average or large. If you look at the photos, some of the boxes look very much bigger than the one photographed in…

It cannot be dealt with at all if it is not brought to light.
Thank you, Greenpeace, for bringing this matter to light.
Let's hope it doesn't take them as long to…

That was a lovely recipe, thank you. Being vegetarian I of course omitted the beef, and ended up with beans on toast.
