Hey, they are knives, I get it but, if you want to compare role models then, on Monday they were showing on TV how Parents in the US encourage their kids to play with guns, and not just simple handguns, these kindergartners were firing away tactical weapons used by military forces.

'gaijintraveller'
actually Softbank and Docomo also have similar rules in place, in the contracts you sign with them.
The bottom line is that whenever you cancel your contract you will be charged close to 10,000yen plus a 3,150 handling fee for the trouble.

This maybe a far-fetched analysis and probably might get laughed at but anyways to me all those submarines in the water navigating using sonar, is the only reason that makes sense. Sometimes a faulty piece of equipment may be sendin out sonic waves that might be getting on the Whale"s nerves. The authorities should check which vessels were in those waters , plus maybe the same ship or sub goes ther 2-3 times a year probably coinciding with the dates the whales each themselves. Even if it turns out to be not the reason for the beaching, the idea can be used to make a helluva movie.

'Softbank, Japan’s third-largest mobile carrier by subscribers, now faces tougher competition in selling the iPhone.
This fact is statistically wrong, there was no competition before and now they have.

The type of bus shown in the picture is most probably built on a used 80's truck chassis imported from Japan. such knowledge is common and usually it is the person arranging for the bus that has to act responsibly over there. Laws for checking the road-worthiness of vehicles are non existent in Pakistan, Although the incident is very sad, it will all end up in fingers pointing in all directions without result.

I have been with AU for 10 years now and knew the iPhone 5 was coming to AU but still changed my phone to the EVO because Android has better features than the iPhone, especially when it comes to browsing the internet. I can watch shows on it like i would on a pc. It also has tethering (i know the iPhone 5 will have it also) . the only drawback is that it has a terrible battery which can be extended with a couple of 3500mAh batteries on hand. I also have a non connected iphone (for developing purposes) and would still prefer to have Android over iOS.

Pleas publish the full story. VW got pissed because Suzuki decided to buy 1.6 liter diesel engines from Fiat. Now only VW does not have such engines and the ones they have are for wider track cars. Suzuki makes very narrow cars and from an engineering point of view it was impossible for Suzuki to use VW engines so it went to Fiat and VW got pissed.

I get that an author's work is his livelihood and I get that few people should not have that much power over such decisions but, aren't these unclaimed works meant for students. I mean American students are already forced into debt upto a decade after they graduate. And the faculty is already paid considerably less compared to other professions with similar qualifications. We now have people claiming compensation and stalling of distribution of books that are out of print and no one was going to buy in the first place.

the car is slated to be the next NY taxi and they won the contract only because the car was easily convertible in to electric so, they'd better get the tests right.

'herefornow' You are seemingly looking at events concerning only to you and your immediate acquaintances. It is a naturally human reaction and I bet everyone you or I know has had the same opinions over the issue but, there are those of us who are leaders and they have to think and make decisions on a much grander scale.
Lets for the sake of argument, say that TEPCO and J-Gov acted as everyone else (especially the foreign media), acted all over the world, what would they have done? Create an 'Independence Day'-like panic scenario and have all the population within 300km evacuate to...where? Japan does not have that much land to begin with, and none of the other nations came forward and offered to relocate the evacuees. Plus the push for hourly updates on the situation also contributes to work progress. I mean if everyone is gonna accusing Japan of hiding the severity of the situation then at-least also offer serious help.
I also know nuclear experts did come from other countries and were sent back because of red-tape. The solutions they were bringing was to bury the whole area under tons of cement, which will never stop radioactive leeching underground, and this is where the Japanese want to start.
Anyway my point originally was that I did and still trust the news coming out from the Japanese media rather than listen to anything backed by any other government.
Posted in: What do you think about the current disclosure of information by the Japanese government and Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO) concerning the stricken Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant complex, compared to the first few weeks of the crisis?
