I too have a family but, i also do not have any complaints against the present or the proposed future changes. I am just glad that the government decided to be fair to everyone.

Oh... and we already take time off work to report changes to our employment and address....and the immigration department already has a system and does physically check on living conditions as mentioned by you in your spousal visa application. why is everyone so upset, we are immigrants to a foreign country and it is our duty to respect our host country's laws. If you don't like it then just leave. I can guarantee that the rules and requirements in any other developed country are going to be more stricter…
