I was hoping for something extraordinary from Apple this time but they sure did disappoint everyone big time. My 26 months just finished at the end of May. I may get the current 16gb model and jailbreak it, or just stick to my E61 nokia a little longer.

for those who dont know. The car is Japanese manufactured by mitsuoka and is sold as a kit, which the buyer puts together at home. It costs a cool million yen and is powered by a 50cc engine which comes with the kit.

Its about time someone pointed fingers here to the J-gov. This is a very embarrassing issue, which was I believe, one of the causes Japan couldn't get a permanent seat in the UN. And the audacity of all this is that the govt goes to great lengths to hush down the issue. If one does proper research I bet there will be more Japanese parental abductions than the abductions by the North Koreans.

I know people are going to argue that the North Korea cases were the cases of State sponsored abductions. Comparatively the Japanese Govt. ruthlessly protects all parental abductions, with the greatest disregard of the custodial decisions made by courts in other well-respected countries.

Just Google the phrase and you can find plenty of evidence.

    Himajin..

I come from a third world country and especially one which is in the wrong kind of limelight nowdays, so ofcourse i would be worried if some of my personal information is open for scrutiny. Although personally I do not have anything to worry about, the idea just makes me uncomfortable. The easiest way out would be to apply for Japanese nationality, they seem to giving their passports out fairly easily these days.

Plus if one knows how to, it is considerably easy and practically cheap to put together a portable RIFD reader. (assuming that is the kind of chip they are going to put in the new Alien cards, The new driving licenses already have the chip, designed to hide the domicile of the bearer). All one has to do is just get on a train with a bunch of foreigners.......

I am with the idea except that there are a couple of points that I feel the government needs to think through before implementing.

    1) I would feel very uncomfortable about the government having the ability to keep track of my bank accounts. 2) They really need to rethink their Health insurance and State Pension policies. For foreigners 25 years is too long to pay into a pension before they become eligible for it. The Govt should take steps (regarding foreigners) to return the money they have paid into if they are forced to leave Japan for Legitimate reasons, or if the payee is in his 40's when he enters Japan and he is forced to pay into the system even when he doesn't have 25 years till he retires.

And I still cant understand why they make latecomers pay health insurance from the day you enter Japan even if you never fell sick and never visited a hospital. I wonder if they refund money if one has past hospital bills that fall into the period they want to charge from.

And also changing address does not help you get away with not paying into past infringements. Once in a while all municipalities do sync up their data and they do catch you, especially when they do not expect it. I happened to an acquaintnce of mine.

I have a Transcend 8gb usb mp3 player with a 2-color oled screen, fm radio and equalizer, bought for 5000yen. I am happy with it because i haven't found anything that can beat its user-friendliness. The shuffle, although cool is probably 1/4 of its size but, will also be definitely 4 times as difficult to use.

it is a fact that all humans are greedy but, i dont understand how is it possible for google to come up with more money to pay for something which it is forwarding to the end user for free. I know you will argue advertising but, to try and leech out more from the same source is even a bigger nonsense. They are hurting themselves by killing off the free advertisement they were getting

I agree. There's just too many regulations in it to be even called a sport anymore.

Racing street legal cars without any modifications excites me in places ....

c'mon movies are movies, just simple entertainment. And although some movies do tend to be based on true stories or history, it does not mean that they depict actual events. How can they its not like we have confirmed eyewitnesses from 400B.C. to give us accurate accounts on how those events occurred.

Its funny how they want the Americans to apologize for using the Iranian flag improperly, which also raises the question, How many times have they (the Iranians) apologized for burning the American flag, to the American people!

The best thing to do is just watch the movie and enjoy. its a fact that you will not even remember the hidden messages, if there are any, after a few hours.

Footnote: India and Pakistan regularly and ruthlessly bash eachother in their movies, we dont see them fighting over that, infact they enjoy the movies for just what they are...movies.

women, especially working women around 30 are basically very unwilling to make small compromises necessary to form even a relationship let alone marriage. I know because I work with a bunch of them.

investors are always after profits, they dont care and dont want to care what happens to ther workers of companies they so unemotionally acquire and discard like lottery tickets. their whole existence revolves around making profit. Ironically they are constantly on the lookout on ways to cheat governments out of taxes, (by transferring money offshore, headquartering their businesses in tax free countries and so on) and when things go wrong they want to blame governments for not doing enough.

I use AU but, i am still sticking to my old handset. Recently with the prices they are charging I dont think they are subsidizing their handset lineup anymore. The Omnia (i am not an Iphone fan) and its pricing are tilting me towards the other carrier that still does subsidizes the handsets it is offering.
