The legal limit for driving on the roads in Japan is 0.15 mg/L.

It is beyond ludicrous that the legal limit permits anything above 0.00 mg/L. We are not talking about drivers here, but pilots of commercial airliners carrying hundres of passengers.

I read this article a couple times and still can't understand what exactly the partnership will do. I mean, how will this change the respective services? Is it like Twitter and FB where a Twitter post will show up as a post on the FB profile? Is that all? Whooptie-freakin'-do.

When is this guy going to stop dicking around with action flicks and go do something like Born on the Fourth of July again? He obviously has the chops, just lazy I guess.

While this protest may be a less than positive demonstration of intellect, at the very least, it is better than nothing at all.

Yeah, can't wait for Bob Dylan to pen a tune about this movement and the downtrodden photographed above...

The best part about Japanese TV shows is the food programming where they go to a restaurant and eat food, savor it and make a pleasant expression and then, after cameraman suspensully holds the shot, they say "ooiishiiii!" Oh man it gets me every time. Pure brilliance. If only they had the Emmies in Japan...

I don't know whether to laugh or cry... But I know the Korean producers are laughing.

Question for NetNinja: If Linkin Park was the greatest of all time, who is the runner up? Nickelback?

How ironic that as unfair as life treated him, at the end he was just another fare.

He must have thought stealing from those employees would be a piece of cake. Well they weren't about to let him have his cake and eat it too. But in reading this story, I must say the blond wig tidbit was the icing on the cake. OK I'm done.

I admit I am pretty pathetic in following this poll all day, but how can it be possible that Queen gets more votes than Page & the boys?!? Yeah, Queen was cool and all, but. they never released anything CLOSE to Led Zeppelin IV...

Just thought I'd chime in and express my shock and dismay at the comments on Gn'R. This is a band that I absolutely loved as a kid growing up in the 80s. But the greatest of all time!? People, people people... Aside from Appetite for Destruction, and a few decent tracks on the Use Your Illusion albums, what on earth have they done to catapult past all the other greats out there (including the ones asked about in this poll)? To quote Mr. Rose, "You're **** Crazy!"

The Beatles was not a rock band, they were a pop band. So to answer the question with ROCK in mind, Led Zeppelin is the greatest of all time.

Culture Day (Nov 3) is Emperor Meiji's birthday. Shouwa no hi (April 29) is Emperor Hirohito's birthday. The Taishou Emperor's birhtday (Aug 31)is not a national holiday.

Did not know that! Well this means that, theoretically at least, the distant future will have every day a holiday in Japan.

Yeah, I'm a total loser because my spouse is independent enough to survive 8 hours at home when she has a cold. Jesus am I the only one who doesn't drop everything in my professional life to hand out tissues to sick family members all day??

It's ME: Your company must offer a ton of sick days for you to use them up on staying home to basically do nothing, sit at your spouse's bedside and cook soup. Where I work they don't grow on trees.

Kurosaki had taken Monday and Tuesday off to care for his wife, who had not been feeling well, TBS said.

Why oh why do Japanese news stories include completely irrelevant paragraphs like this.
