I was in my family's office when it hit. when the shaking started, it came on slowly.. getting stronger and stronger as time passed. my husband grabbed the camera and went outside to get it on video. What did i do? I hid under a desk when the shaking was most intense (later on I was laughed at by my family). After the initial quake, I ran back to my building to get my cat and bring her back to the office. I was worried something would squish her, or the TV stand would go out the window onto the balcony, then she would run outside. I climbed the stairs up to the 20th floor and reached my room. While inside, another big one hit. I never felt so scared in my life. The shaking was so different.. much more violent than being on the ground. Trembling fear, I grabbed my cat and put her cage, sat on the bed and waited for the shaking to calm down.
Scariest day EVER.

if the japanese want to celebrate early, let them do so. hopefully the illuminations will brighten their spirits.
Posted in: Christmas decorations and illumination displays are already up in many parts of Japan and in some other countries, too. Do you think it is too early?

i was in mastushima 2 months before the earthquake and tsunami. it's kind of an eerie feeling knowing i was there shortly before the worst natural disaster in japans history struck.

personally, i like all kinds of music. however, i tend to steer towards unique kinds of music. i just don't like the regurgitated sound that some groups/singers produce. example given: akb48. (sorry fans!)
Posted in: Why do some people mock others' taste in music and dismiss groups that they don't like as being crap and having no talent, etc, as if they were some great authority or arbiter on musical excellence?

i said yes. maybe not all pedophiles repeat what they have done again, but it's a good idea to keep communities safer. why take the risk?

lulz isn't really "laugh out loud". lulz is used by internet trolls, usually to denote laughter to someone who has been pranked, hacked, etc.
