Two years ago when Higashi was elected as governor of Miyazaki, there were rumours he would open up US military facilities to boost the local economy via government subsidies, local employment on base, and increased spending by personnel.

Boars are not to be messed with. I saw some hunters in the Chiba inaka last autumn hauling a dead boar and dead dog out of the woods.

The boar crushed the dog's ribcage before the hunters could get a shot.
