"Consideration" just means more words, a "message" for the already nauseatingly overexposed Obama to repeat in his next televised pitch - "I did this, I,I,I,me,me,my administration" blah and blah and blah.

Europe has much to answer for on this issue. The continent's heroin consumption (original material:Afghan opium) literally subsidizes the death and destruction the Taliban causes wherver they go and is why Europe also belongs in Afghanistan.

Our president has done nothing. Even Sarkozy - "L'Americaine" - no longer takes him seriously. Obama is a creampuff, or worse - exactly what his most virulent American critics accuse him of being:, a crypto-socialist with no interest in foreign policy unless it helps him weaken the America he and the fringe of his party loathe. Britain knows he is unlike any president they have counted on as an ally. Obama snubbed all of Brown's five requests for bilateral talks. But yeah, Bush was the "my way or the highway" cowboy... Merkel seems suspicious of Obama. Germany is not interested in helping him. Berlusconi cracks jokes about his 'suntan' and I suspect most of Italy laughs along.

"Defense Minister Franz Josef Jung of Germany said he does not expect his country to increase its troop numbers in Afghanistan when their soldiers’ orders come up for renewal in December. Germany’s existing policy allows the deployment of up to 4,500 soldiers, and just over 4,200 currently are in Afghanistan."

But didn't Obama woo all of Europe, and from Berlin?

Isn't Germany the heart of the new Europe that Rumsfeld scorned as being 'old' ?

Consideration by NATO is a far different thing than commitment from NATO.

But then, I wouldn't expect Obama supporters to think beyond pretty phrases, smiley sounbites and a history of empty feel-good promises.

"The University of Cambridge-educated Griffin said he expected a hostile reception, but had a right to be heard, and insisted his views had been misrepresented."

Cambridge graduate. I was shocked to read that.

Is that the view from Canada, Mr Zurcronium? It was my understanding FOX so terrified the powers that be in Canada that they had it banned.

Russia played Obama for a fool and now Japan is being asked to help him save face.

Obama makes me embarrassed to be American at times.

    Mission Accomplished, Mr President.

"He isn't whining, you and dick cheney are."

It's well above the reading level of a guy who affixes emoticons to his posts but even The Nation, probably the most respected magazine on the liberal/progressive/left in America, has recently taken to calling our president "Whiner-in-Chief."

It hurts, I know, but that's cos it's the truth.

Music is haram in Islam. That's what's really, really funny here. These self-absorbed prima donnas like REM's Michael Stipe and the other various drughead MTV icons don't even know all the relevant information in this 'issue.' Stipe is also gay as a football bat, but probably blissfully unaware of what even moderate Muslims believe should be the punishment for his lifestyle.

Left a mess? Obama knew what was on table.

Zurcronium. People here say you are Canadian. Judging from your posts I have to agree. But Fox was banned in Canada. So where did you form these opinions about Fox? In Japan? You actually pay for FOX?

Guardian UK video: Obama: Afghanistan is 'war of necessity'

"Barack Obama addressed the Veterans of Foreign Wars with his strategy on withdrawal from Iraq by 2011 and concentration on Afghanistan"

Obama campaigned saying repeatedly Afghanistan was the war of necessity.

Time for wonderboy to man up.

I don't know about Canadians and Europeans, but Americans don't like whiners.

Obama has had 10 months. SNL has him pegged.

    What has Barack Obama achieved?

    "Jack and Squat."

Like Bill O Reilly says, Obama would rather battle Fox News (or Palin's Facebook page) than the Taliban.

    Who is this fraud?

    Who have we elected?

I think it's been pretty well established that since Cheney is a Republican and someone who loves his country any choice he made between the time JFK got the country into war in Vietnam and the time Nixon got us out will be ctiticized by those on the left and still in the grips of BDS. Had he gone to Vietnam Cheney would be called a "baby killer". Because he didn't he is called "Deferment Dick", despite admirably serving his country as Sec of Defense under Bush Sr and in the volatile period following the defeat and breakup of the former Soviet Union.

As has always been the case, Dick Cheney speaks more sense than Obama's wee-wee'd - up fans in the transglobal 'progressive movement' and in the Blame America First Wing of the Democrat Party are capable of handling.

Judging from most of what's written above Cheney's detractors here (who presume to speak for the entire world, but actually describe Cheney and Bush as "unilateral") never even made it to the end of the article

“Our Polish and Czech friends are entitled to wonder how strategic plans and promises years in the making could be dissolved just like that with apparently little if any consultation,” he said. “President Obama’s cancellation of America’s agreements with the Polish and Czech governments is a serious blow to the hopes and aspirations of millions of Europeans.”

    Well said, Mr Cheney.

So many words from Klein2 needed to tell the forum he regards Canadians/Europeans as more discerning, less gullible when it comes to interpreting news and politics.

    Whatever.

I am sure he also regards America as way, way more litigious; which raises a question: if Fox is libelous and transparently false why is it the swiftboat 'victim' Kerry never challenged them? It's not as if a lawsuit would have made a significant subtraction from the hundreds of millions of dollars he and his wife have between them. And yet the swift boat vets might well have cost him the election...

Why doesn't the Obama administration try and sue Fox for posting videos and recordings outing Van Jones as a 9-11 'truther' and an avowed Marxist, or of White House communications director Anita Dunn prasing the mass murderer Mao Tse Tung before a group of high school kids?? Could it be because, well, in a court of law things like FACTS and PROOF actually count for something...

    "Get the point?"

Americans (unlike all the foreign contributors here) know that the ratings do not lie.

Fox has the Democrat-Media complex in panic mode.

    It's a quagmire.

Even old Helen Thomas has chided Obama for going after Fox and is calling him worse than Nixon (!).

They have lost Helen! heh heh heh.
