"Powell's vote of support too for President Obama is a vote for competence and a step in the right direction..."

    Interesting.

I believe he told a group of students back in August that electing an African-American president would be "electrifying."

"Powell willingly sold the Iraq War to Americans and to the UN!"

"Powell was duped by George Bush!" - who is so dense he needs a wire to his ear even to debate the likes of John Kerry.

Can any of Obama's starry-eyed supporters clarify why Obama, who we are supposed to admire for his prescient opposition to the Iraq War, should be “beyond honored” as he accepts this man's endorsement, twisting himself into even more contortions as he flits across the national stage.

    I remember Powell.

It was only yesterday your average Obama supporter accused him of lying shamelessly and not too convincingly for the second of his Republican bosses.

"Mr Powerpoint." Wasn't that the clever nickname bestowed on him?

I'm pro-free trade but at times I look forward to what Obama's anti-NAFTA stance is going to do to Canada. Add to that the power the unions are going to have and Europe and China are also gonna be hurting.

    Bigtime.

Glad I am no longer in a field that will be affected.

Pakistan is a failed apartheid state basically gerrymandered into existence by the same imperialists who created Canada and New Zealand.

As usual the US has to clean up after.

I reckon Obama will bomb within weeks of taking office. Look at how he dissed them in the debates and called their country Pah-ki-stahn.

Remember also - the usual chorus of wackos like Mhoumar Kkhaddaffi have insisted Obama is Muslim. There will be renewed and much more vocal assertions of this if and when he is inaugurated.

So, taking a page from Clinton, Obama will pick this unfortunate third world disaster of Islamic social engineering to show his critics he is alpha male enough to be president.

You can be sure though that they will by then have come up with a genuinely spiffy euphemism for it.

"Just the latest dirty tricks by the Republicans."

Look - there is only one party in America that opposes even simple, common-sense legislation (like voter I.D) aimed at preventing voter fraud and it is the Democrats.

None of Obama's supporters can tell you exactly where his tax cut is going to come from.

    50,000!

"The demonstrators marched from the main Shiite district of Sadr City to the more central Mustansiriyah Square in eastern Baghdad."

Any marches of this magnitude when Saddam Hussein was in power?

    Didn't think so...

"more than 40% of people ALREADY don't pay any taxes."

"Prove it. Don't make statements like that and expect people to believe it without proof."

I would think that with the election less than three weeks away an informed citizen and voter would have discovered that for himself by now.

But that's just me, in Japan.

Obama lies when he talks about tax cuts.

He is really talking about tax credits - the Left's way of repackaging welfare in order to buy votes.

This should be apparent to anyone who stops to consider that if 40 percent of working families pay no income taxes then what they would get under Obama and his duplicitous '95 percent of working families will get a tax cut' is not a tax cut but a handout, money the government has taken from someone else.

What's surprising to me is the apathy - we have one group of people paying no taxes who are allowed to vote on how the government shall increase the burden of those who do.

I also think we are looking at an Obama administration that may well undo the advances President Clinton made with welfare reform.

Obama reviewed one of William Ayers' books way back in 1997.

    He lied in that debate.

More proof that Obama worked closely with William Ayers the failed domestic terrorist and that he lied and continues to lie about his association with an unrepentant marxist nutjob.

That was one strained analogy, buttamimi.

What does Watergate have to do with the very valid questions an American voter who happens to be a plumber raised about Senator Obama's tax plan?

This guy Joe is hated solely because it was to him Obama was speaking and trying to con when the mask fell off.

"What will most endanger our nation is the election of a man too temperamental to make good decisions and probably too old to have the stamina to make them. And the danger is exacerbated by the possibility that his place may have to be taken by a woman too unschooled in international and domestic politics."

    I disagree.

What will endanger our nation most is the election of an empty suit who is front man for a class of ideologues in American gov't, media, academia and in the legal professions who do not believe in or are repulsed by American exceptionalism.

"Are you better off under George Bush or under the previous Democratic President William Clinton? "

You need a little perspective on things:Clinton and America were better off because the country and the world had 8 years of Reagan.

It's no coincidence that the only post WW2 Dem president elected to two terms came between the collapse of the former Soviet Union and the attacks of 9-11.

"George W. Bush could have reformed the system any way he liked."

I really enjoy seeing posts like this.

The Left spent 7 years accusing George Bush of abusing the executive powers his office grants him and trying to take over the gov't, the country and the entire world.

But when the economy goes into one of those inevitable periods of turmoil they accuse him of not having fully used the power of the president.

Palin needs to go after pathological liar Barack H. Obama. The mainstream media certainly won't.

Senator Obama lied to the entire nation in that last debate when challenged by Senator McCain about his involvement with ACORN, saying his contact is limited to the one time he represented them in a case about Illinois voter registration.

Obama's campaign gave 800,000 dollars to ACORN.

    Obama led ACORN workshops.

But the most damning evidence is from legal records.

    This. guy. has. no. shame.

"United States District Court Northern District of Illinois - CM/ECF LIVE, Ver 3.0 (Chicago) CIVIL DOCKET FOR CASE #: 1:94-cv-04094"

The list of lawyers on the case clearly shows Barack Obama:

    "Case Name Buycks-Roberson v . Citibank Fed. Sav . Bank Fair Housing/Lending/Insurance Docket/Court 94 C 4094 (N.D.Ill.) FH-IL-0011 State/Territory Illinois"

"Either way, Obama did not seek Joe out any more than an apple picker seeks out any particular ripe apple."

I do believe even SezWho has been duped by the openly partisan mainstream media's perverse determination to bring voters more info about Joe the Plumber than they have given us about Barack the Democrat Candidate for President.

In the end Joe, his real name, Joe's kids, his marital status, his party affiliation, his journeyman status, his employment history, his boss, the tax lien he faces, Ohio labor laws, the time he spent in Alaska - none of these are the issue.

Obama's reply to the Joe Who Represents Small Business Owners All Over America is the real issue.

"Do you believe in the American dream?''

"I'm being taxed more and more for fulfilling the American dream.''
