I know the Brits will get all in a tizzy for me saying this but could there be a more anti-climactic way to win a championship? backing into the championship as you sit at home watching your closest competitor play to a thrilling 2-2 draw. Thank god this could never happen in North American sports where we have no draws and people figured out years ago that if you pay good money to watch a sports event you ought to see a winner and loser decided at the very least. greatest sports story of all time? hardly.

The celebrations looked far from backing into anything.

The bookies have names like Koeman, Low, Mancini and Mourinho on the list for next Arsenal manager.

Really? Wenger's going nowhere and Mourinho to Man U.Everyone knows that.

Everyone's got dirt and for those casting aspersions on Prince, what's your claim to fame? What have you done beyond venting petty bitterness?

Donald Trump strained to lay out a clear vision of his “America first” foreign policy.....

When you've never considered yourself a real candidate but just running to promote your brand, sooner or later you're going to come unstuck. He's a celebrity, running as an apprentice politician.

Being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble, which for some reason, China has been doing with their sabre rattling.Just be cool.Being a hated Superpower is not cool.

Or maybe that is the point, it is far easier to mourn a dead rock star or movie star than to try and help others who really need it.

Thanx MarkX and I think you hit the nail on the head with how people really feel.Don't have to do anything with your crocodile tears except shed a few.

My "friends" on FB have been laying it on thick with their wailing and gnashing of teeth over Prince's death.Yeah,I got a cassette tape somewhere and respect he was a musical stud, but I didn't know the bloke to be all wondering why and how etc.More indicative of people's fickleness of life.People die in earthquakes or wars."I'm alright,I'm far from the action."A celebrity dies and the world suddenly becomes so wrong.

The war monger and global weapons salesman of the year, Obama, should not visit Hiroshima.

If Obama were all that you're spewing forth, don't you think your fellow right wing zealots would be canonizing him a la G.W.Bush?

On paper and by rights,it shouldn't be.But by him going will not garner the... whatever reason he's going for.I don't remember hearing a groundswell of support urging him to go.Him going to Cuba was very ok.I'm not feeling this visit. His going will be like the San Antonio Spurs winning their first NBA championship. It was in a strike shortened season and it was tainted in some quarters with an asterisk.Obama's visit will be the same. Will read the first sitting Prez to go to ....blah,blah,blah and the asterisk will appear saying it's not the same for the obvious reason.

I've been disappointed in Obama the president. But never moreso than the unnecessary visit to Hiroshima. In short, being an African-American president,he shouldn't be going. It should be a Caucasian one.Yeah I said it.

He'd be silly to go.Going to Cuba was more than enough. He doesn't need any aggro in kowtowing to a Hiroshima visit.
