I hope this doesn't start the practice of paying athletes to use certain products during games.
Oh yeah, it's called sponsorship or legalized propaganda although I've always thought of it as bribing and coercing the public.
How about artists pay for all the songs used instead of receiving money to have it used.

as I said before you don't need any proof of anything to get a credit card in Japan. Just sign up online with Rakuten or any of the other ones you can fill out online and they will send you the card and a tired postman will pretend to check your whatever form of ID and hand over the package. No questions asked no need to set up a bank account (pay at the convenience store) and definitely no hassle. Great if you want to use a Japanese name to buy stuff online with no hassles.

mine brain is already wired which is why I read the news online. That said I probably spend 12-16 hours a day online for the last 15 years. However with multi-tasking I get to watch tv, converse, chat, listen to music, eat and whatnot while doing so. Occasionally switching off everything electronic does bring great relief and the chance to slow down. I'm sure in the last 100 years our use of the brain has changed considerably especially the way and amount of information we store.

my favorite ones are cashier of the year, steel drum maneuvering of the year, elevator girl of the year, department store gift wrapping of the year, packing items neatly into convenience bag of the year, bowing and greeting customers of the year, and all the other wonderful ones to keep 0.1% of the weird employees happy.
