50,000JPY range is good enough. The materials are similar, just slightly less time taken to make each pot. For those of you who think there is not much difference I dare you say that in the same context to a barbecue fanatic who payed thousands of dollars for his wonderful outdoor grill or perhaps a kiln that a pottery master uses. That said I can see that many things in the commercial market is just for suckers like expensive cars, swords, speakers, computers, art, tin toys, baseball cards....

Considering I probably spent 1/6 of my life playing games and another 1/6 watching anime and probably yet another 1/6 reading managa I would have to say they taught me a lot more than school could ever.

Haven't bought electronic equipment in shops for years. Great for checking out the gadgets, but buy your stuff on the Internet where you get a 20% price cut automatically. Even for TV shopping junk you can find most stuff for 80% off on Yahoo Auction.

saru au> you crazy I wouldn't buy for that price. Just by an APC Smart UPS 1000 or 1500 series for 2,000yen or there about on Yahoo Auction. I can gurantee even a 5 year old(200,000yen) UPS will be of better quality that a cheap consumer one.

Couldn't care less about global warming, I'm more concerned with the quality of air I breath. CO2 is the least of our problems. Toxic fumes, Carbon Monoxide, radiation, contaminated water, artificial crap in food and all the other vial stuff invented to keep materials, housing, clothing, toys and such ultra cheap and wonderfully dangerous. Why not spend money on improving our life style and that should automatically reduce much of the pollution among many other things including CO2. A different approach to the problem is the real answer to global warming.

Some of you obviously don't live in the real world of Japan. In the enterprise world of IT the Japanese don't take any sh*t if a problem arises and they make sure every member of the party knows about it and that the problem is fixed promptly. Some actually commit suicide, but for the most part that's the level of service they have come to expect. Anything less and then it's a shouting match on the phone, an official letter of apology, gifts, money back and a few bows... among other things.

Why must everyone think marriage has to be forever in this day and age. If they are married for a couple months and then divorce I would be more upset about the waste of paperwork, using tax money for all the processing and no offspring to off set the ever aging population (haha). Mind you why can't they just be happy living together under one roof.

pity the cats can't get rid of some of the stray humans
Why does the "humane" society just "release" humans back into the city? Instead of either trying to find homes for them, or putting them to sleep?
When a human has been born and raised as a stray, it's very difficult for it to adapt to life in a family. And there is no reason at all to euthanise healthy animals just because some cats find them inconvenient.
