That's the spirit Kei, and I do believe he nets a cool 150 ATP points by making the last 16 at this event, which should boost his ranking to an all time high. Not as high as Shuzo yet though, have to wait till next year for that perhaps.

I still can't believe it either! Juan Martin Del Potro seems to be in good form at the moment though, so the 4th round match should be interesting, and Kei has a chance to make it through to the last 8.
He's ranked 126th today, but see what happens when…

Better stuff in the first round, knocking out a seeded player.
Nishikori would already be ranked above this Croatian guy if he hadn't pulled a stomach muscle back at Wimbeldon and been out recovering.
Kei is up against the world #4 in the 3rd round though.
