The time slots need to change if they want tourists. Why am I going to purposely land in Haneda, spend money on a taxi, spend money on a hotel and then go to Sendai city the next day when I can simply land Narita, go to Tokyo and get the Shinkansen all in the same day?

Haneda is an ideal landing place, but who wants to arrive at friggin 10/11pm? Good luck getting trains and stuff! Until the landing times are better, I will stick with Narita

How sad that fliers care more whether their flight attendant is a kawaii asian woman or an older lady. Who cares as long as the job is done.
Anyway, tried to book a flight to Haneda airport for this March but the landing times are crummy!!! Arrive at 11pm?? NO THANKS. By the time I get my butt out of the airport to a hotel...zzzz.

Morning is not too bad for immigration. Try coming in at 1-2pm. Last time we did that, we spent about 1 1/2 hours in line. Some poor couple almost missed their connecting flight to Chitose. Thankfully my connection to Osaka Itami didn't leave until 4 hours later.
Anyway, that's a huge jet. 500 some people.

I simply have to thank Delta airlines for their route additions. My fiance is simply pleased that he can get a flight out of Kanku airport straight to the USA other than United Airlines.

I think Arizona KNEW it was going to be shot down, and I have a feeling this law was merely created to push the government to do something about illegal immigration. This law sends a message that states WILL take matters into their own hands if nothing is done.

God, the black leggings with shorts. Let that die, please! It's the middle of summer!

Wow...I've never been stopped by Police before. I've been to Japan seven times now for weeks on end and so far nothing. Not to jinx it or anything!

Nice...for the ones who pay the thousands for this kind of amenity. The rest of us will suffer like cattle in Peasant class.
Though I admit I was once lucky enough to get a business class upgrade FREE because the check-in lady felt so SORRY for me because I wanted an upgrade but didnt have the miles. I later got the seat as I settled myself down in the plane. Yays.

What a sick little boy. Makes me really sad. They're going to sue the parents. Not sure what thier story is, but I wish the child was the one getting major punishment.

From the airline's point of view, I realize they are in a bind with the rising fuel costs and such and they have to find ways to make up for that lost revenue.
However, cutting essential services like hot meals is further turning away the customer from the airlines.
Personally, I've found no problems with United airlines (I've used them for Japan as they're the only ones close to home that fly into Osaka Kansai). Then again I have mileage plus and I get to sit economy plus and sometimes business when there's seats available.
Meals aren't the greatest; I'd say they're about the same level as microwavable TV dinners, but food is food and if you're hungry you'll eat it (or bring your own snacks or eat beforehand).

888naff, go figure stereotyping the Americans as loud and the Japan as a more respectful culture. Sorry but i've seen a lot of J-teens gabbing on the phone at full blast, even in trains in Tokyo.
Anyway, I think the ban should remain. Good god folks, we survived without cell phones before, we'll surely survive a plane ride! They should just stick to the satellite phones.

Come live in my city, where if you don't know Spanish, you're unable to live here. English is practically a 2nd language here, kind of obscure.

Don't worry, the same is happening in the USA. There's talk of raising the price of the dollar double cheeseburger. It's just the rising cost of beef and cheese.

Next we'll have American-style TV dinners too.
Doesn't matter that they'll start looking at domestic grown ingredients for frozen foods; most of it will be mislabeled anyway.

I don't think we have a choice in terms of putting up with it. Most airlines already charge for the baggage policy, but unfortunately a lot of us NEED the airlines to get us to our destination. When we're talking about seeing a loved one (in my case), I have no other choice but to fly. The airlines aren't stupid; they know that a good amount of people rely on them for thier travel needs and they'll do what it takes to pump out every dollar they can.
