No, she is now being labelled as "Sakai moto hikoku". Which is better than just "hikoku" I guess.

The pigeoness switched him off it seems. Anyway, they do look odd in this picture, due to the person who took the shot.

It does look a bit odd. Hope he gave the emperor a firm hand shake. I hate to squeeze a tissue. And actually the emperor also wanted to bow, but due to evolution (emperors haven't bowed for thousands of years) their spines have fused. He can only move his head up and down and side ways.

That seemed odd to me as well. If figured that if you step on the brake pedal, you could smother the engine. Anyway, on CNN they showed that when you want to cut the engine while driving, you must push-in the starter button for 3 seconds. Problem seems to be, that almost no Lexus driver knows this.

I often cook (my own style) curry and it takes me less than half an hour. I got used to it. Throw a handful of raisins in the mixture as well. Curry cooked for 100 hours...I find it hard to believe, but that's what it says on the package. A 100 hours...One's digestive tract will have difficulty fishing any nutrients out of this stuff. In fact, the consistency and appearance must resemble the stuff that has already passed one's digestive system. It might smell like curry though.

After having seen it on the news so many times, I also started to think it went great. They let him wait for 20 minutes, probably due to the lengthy rants of other leaders. He said what he wanted to say. He spoke rather well English, although he had some trouble with the word "bridge", but he practised it and anyway, who cares. Something about 25% and leadership. And people were applauding his speech. Then the Japanese media interviewed a variety of folks in attendance, but nobody had been listening...

I think I would be arrested on the spot if I were to crack another person's rib. Why wait 4 or 5 days? No, the victim has to flee her home.

Aso riding the train eh. Actually he was driven to the station by limousine and somebody else bought his ticket. He must be pretty desperate. Anyway, politicians excel in kissing the butt of the entire electorate. After the election, you won't see him ever in a train again.

Wow, how sad and sick can it get. Murdered over something as trivial as a rimokon. His mother probably still had to baby-sit this fellow. Well, the state will from now on.

Well, I guess they have to. The other day I was waiting for my turn and the guy in front of me withdrew 8 million yen, in cash, at the counter, had it put in a paper bag and walked out. Lately many post offices employ a guard man, mostly people of retirement age. Don't know how much of a deterrent this would be when a knife wielding guy shows up though.

I think they mentioned somewhere that two missiles were fired at that house simultaneously, so they must have had some good reason to believe this fellow was holed up there.

If you are arrested as a cop here, you will most likely loose your job. Public servants here are supposed to be spotless. Don't know how it works, but in these cases you will read, that the cop has been suspended and that he resigned the same day. Looks nicer on your resume as well.

I couldn't care less about these people, but couldn't the authorities handle these cases a bit more discreet. Talk about overzealous. It's terrible. No wonder that Ms. Kasai went "missing". I am already pissed when a fully uniformed cop shows up to check if I am still living on the address as stated on my paperwork. With the neighbours watching.
