All I would say to these girls is that if you dance with the devil, remember to expect your toes to get stepped on and bruised! And no I am no religious zealot. I just think that this trend will simply reverse and go back to the old traditions of where the woman will end up as the "disposable woman". Whether we all like it or not things really haven't fundamentally changed that much from the early 20th century.

Gees the person who decided to post this picture is really asking for it! Phrases like "I'll show them white corn" are likely to pop....along with cream, butter etc. etc. Why do Japanese tarento always get pictured holding the most inane objects???

She looks great but I think after all the limelight she always seems a little sad.....I am sure her divorce hurt her but you have to wish the girl all the best and I hope the show does well.

I thought to myself at first - whats the big deal grapes. Then I read 5 million yen! and then thought Crikey! But I wonder how the hell they did it? Thats an awful lot of grapes and then being that expensive you wouldnt want to bruise them and then its not like 2,000 bunches is a small amount.....interesting desho.....

Its tough and good. Here in Japan, halfs are seen as somewhat unique or exotic (well when they are older anyway) but in other Asian countries it is viewed with some aprehension. A good mate of mine was half oriental and half white and he had a bit of a tough time at school. Kids are cruel in any country so its just not Japan. I think Marie has had it quite easy here but she is definitely not the best looking of the lot.

Yes I believe this has been done in China for ages. The kaiseki restaurants I have been to I have not been that impressed with the carvings. A lot of them have been in the style of like a pressed out pattern. When I use to live in HK, man those guys knew how to carve. One time I saw this dragon and peacock done and it was amazing - very detailed. Japanese kaiseki tends to remind me more of French cuisine.

Christel is such an Oba San, always with her frilly clothes...I am surprised she is so popular. I have seen a few better looking J-gal presenters than her. It must be this fascination that Japanese have with halfu.

I just think "big deal" - Demi Moore did it like close to 20 years ago and then it was a bit of a shocker but now it is so old and uncontroversial. I say each to their own but I will say her leg would make a front row forward proud!

Come on lets give these girls a break - anyone who has lived and worked in Japan for a number of years understands the pressure that they are under and also lets not be so hard to condemn this as a Japanese thing. In the West we have the same problem and I would have to say it can even be worse.....Japan is going through some hard times so if this helps them and their parents then good on them....gambarre!
