Good on the mum! I hope she gave the woman a good 1-2. Unfortunately this type of thing is too prevalent in all societies.

Those are nice comments she made. Seems to be a well rounded person. She should be around for a long time.

Watch some documentaries on what the Japanese did to WWII prisoners and you will get some veterans' perspective on the whole matter. Its easy for us because we have never seen friends or family tortured (unless perhaps you have fought in the ME). I think movies that focus on the whole Japanese involvement in WWII are good and there are probably not enough of them. When you see how Hollywood keeps on going on about the Germans in WWII then you have to say the Japanese involvement is largely uncovered territory. Without seeing the movie it seems worthwhile to see.

Well done Garthe and Jenn! I hope you are both playing in that nice little Shinjuku parlour. I came along with the Irish guy (I wont mention his name on this board) and had a lot of fun but I did start to get a headache after playing. Well keep it up!

I agree with Bogva - if you have lived in Japan long enough - this is just this guy's thing. I have to say though wearing what look like Bose headphones aint too smart - hopefully he wont run over one of his poodles. The car reminds me of one those fairground rides where you bash into one another.

I just love some of the comments that come out of these articles...either the translation is dodgy or it just makes you love Japan..... the "freshness of a young cabbage" is interesting - I think there are other vegetables or fruit however that would spark my ideas for designing ladies lingerie....but why is it that we dont get comments like "special day" etc coming out of the west?
