At a 7th floor in an Akiba-Building, it was quite a long shaker. The 'earthquake-proof' building makes it feel different from what I am used to at the ground though.

Maybe he didn't understand you because you pronounced it correct? In JP all the "u" in foreign terms is pronounced as an "a" :-D Try "Rinakusu" and he might understand it.

Went to that event last year. They indeed made big noise with some of these shooting machines. Two small rockets hit targets, a copter shoots around a bit. Nothing I'd want to sit and wait for hours again, especially in this heat.
