louie525: thanks. As said earlier, if somebody carries around such a weapon, the obvious reason is to USE it. I do that! I use my "survival knife" quite often, opening wine bottles and stuff but, ... well I fail to see why anybody driving a car would have a knife…

WHAT is considered a "Survival knife" by the way? Is it the kind I own (made in Switzerland) or more like what 'Rambo' carried? The latter one seems a bit uncommon to walk around with on shallow Sundays, thus unlabeling that person to "not bouryokudan" seems strange.

Todays "Crime Syndicates" in Japan have gotten really, errrr, nice. Mass-turning-self-in is quite handy for the police as well. Bicycle thieves should do that too!
