OMG SO MUCH HATE.... I am sorry, it's a good thing I am not in charge of immigrations anywhere. I would not be letting possible enemies into my country. I would be so grateful for a chance to live in one of these developed countries for a better shot at life, I probably would not be. Yet some people are allowed in and then turn on the folks who stretched a helping hand. I am praying for a change, murder cannot be the answer for everything...

Simply teaching the people to cover their mouths when they cough...or to not spit in public places, (including on the floor on the inside of the train stations) would help a lot. Also, tell your teachers that when they are sick, they should stay home and get well. Too often they come to school with their colds and flus in the name of ganbatteing The kids get the sickness, then take it home to mamma. It helps to start from the simple things sometimes.

Sometimes I wonder if the foreign men among us know/remember about this..... They be getting on wild just because the pickings are easy. The other day I heard one of them talking about how he caught an STD...he said it as if it's nothing... The Japanese media is very selective. Not many STD warning or reminders...nothing.

“They don’t seem to care how others see them.”
“They don’t seem to care how others see them.”
They go out with no makeup, they wear shapeless T-shirts, they get fat – “and when you point it out to them,” huffs a 35-year-old in finance, “they say, ‘What difference does it make at my age?’ I can’t help thinking to myself, ‘Is this what happens to all those cute gir
ls out there?’ It’s depressing.”**
Of course in this case getting fat may be weighing 120 pounds. WHy can't a woman wear no make up is she chooses to? Shapeless T'shirts.....almost all fashion here is shapeless and super conservative.
I don't agree with this one.

1....Lessening the workload of Japanese teachers (take out non academic work, for example, sitting in after school doing nothing until 8 at night) This will give them more time to be able to rest, sit and plan lessons properly with ALTs. The average ALT/JTE relationship does not include even an hour of planning. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Furthermore, would it kill to hire some coaches from outside???
2...Teachers should stop making English education all about the grammar. The average Japanese English teacher probably knows more English grammar than any native speaker, and many still cannot carry a meaningful conversation. The same goes for the students.
3.. JTEs should quit talking to the students in Katakana English. For example "I canto playie taburu tennisu" The kids, who actually are very good at phonics, will spell the words exactly how they are heard.
4.... JTEs should stop telling the kids that English is difficult. STOP IT!!!!
5...lastly, maybe teaching English in ENGLISH wouldn't be a bad idea.
There is just so much a powerless JET can do.

This official has a say in everything. He tells them not to vote for him....well something tells me he wont have to say it twice. How does what happened affect the entrance exams exactly? can someone tell me in layman terms. I don't quite quite get it.

They think the birthrate s low now!! Just wait until this 6 day week goes into being. In a way, the teachers are to blame...why? Well, they are at school every Saturday anyway. They do clubs and practices and NEVER take vacations. I guess that's where the government got the idea from. This will be sad sad sad if it goes through.
