This is very sad. Do you think they would have an issue with their child being adopted and raised by someone abroad? There are so many loving homes without kids. Kids are precious gifts. Parents are not at liberty to just up and take their lives like that. I am sick of hearing these stories.

My heart goes out to the frightened liitle one. Honestly, As a potential mother to be who loves kids with all my heart, my heart breaks alot here in Japan. The mothers really need to be more careful. I have been to many malls and seen where kids are climbing over railings even three floors up. At one time I had to go and tell one little boy in all the Japanese I know "Dame desu" he was going to fall head first to the first floor. I saw no parent even after shoutiing at the kid.
On another occaision, I was at a crossing and a little girl was riding her bike infront of her mother and the mother said nothing even when the child was fast approaching the crossing. I saw that a car was coming at a good enough speed, I nearly had a heart attack, the driver saw the child and stopped. These moms are only humans, but they can do much better.

There are Carribbean artistes who have made it big in the US. Its just a matter of how you sell yourself. The Asians are trying to be like the American artistes...they are just not interested in Asian wanna-be versions of themselves.

They pride themselves in being thin. I met a Japanese woman who told me that her Obstetrician told her not to put weight on during pregnancy when I was expressing awe on how quicly they went back to their pre pregnancy weight. ( Thats like asking the devil for some cool water). so I guess she is ok.

They are doing quite well, I must admit. What they should fix however, is the computer that is "always" "randomly" selecting me for extra security checks. Gives random a whole new meaning. Still 8 out of 10 though.

She is beautiful, but not typical Japanese. I have to deal with many young Japanese on a daily basis, I have concluded that they do not think they are "beautiful", always comparing themselves with me, a black person (I was surprised for obvious reasons. They go crazy over what they term "My very long legs" and "nice body" I always answer with you are nice too...but this is always strongly denied. (More than the normal modest Japanese denials). I always thought of them as some of the most beautiful women in the world.
This choice is a mere reflection of most of what many Japanese consider to be beautiful. I wish her luck.
