I think the front page looks a lot better without the huge HIS ad. Nice work JT. パチパチパチ。

johnalex40, I'd wager green tea said that with tongue in cheek. I for one applaud the green tea for his incisive swipe.

Nessie said (and I manually quote in the absence of any such function) "Gravatar is a great idea, but not so user-friendly." Hey wow just like this website renewal.

Cherry blossoms "were" (that would be in italics if this were a real website) in full bloom in Naka-meguro, and those that survived the rain today will be knocked over by the strong winds tomorrow, along with a few similarly fragile stick-legged same-bag loving bambies trying to run to the station.

I agree with green tea. People from your country are incapable of understanding the beauty of our cherry blossoms, but please dump your cash as you walk by (don't stop) and please speak to us in English, even if we Japanese are incapable of understanding that. Mind you, we Japanese can't appreciate the blossoms at all, as we are incapable of holding down more than two beers (sorry we're missing the necessary enzyme). So excuse me while we take a nap or go home early, and watch out for our ultrathin stripes of overpriced beef laying in harmony with our train steps and platforms.

This new layout pretty much sucks actually. Way too much unused space leading to alot of scrolling, not to mention the clicking to keep up those page hits. You could at least make use of the unused space in the recent comments/latest hits section. But that would result in less clicks wouldn't it. Comments are down. Take a hint JT. Put more news/comments on one page.

M51T and sailwind are right to be suspicious. I bet this fish isn't even pure Japanese and was caught in Korean waters before their coast guard could respond.

What's with the zig-zag layout of articles on the front page? Are you trying to compete with Nintendo's DS eye training?

It should only be a part of the curriculum when your country is such a piece of crap that you need to cram it down people's throats.

Please do something about the jij-jag layout of stories on the main page. I think I'm going to throw up.

I wonder if the batter revealed his intention to bunt, well and truly before she even threw it.

Actress Saki Aibu, 22 years old and thus young and attractive yet shows the appropriate respect to her elders, throws the opening pitch, and Japanese baseball is worth watching for about thirty seconds.

Yamada, thanks for the info. I don't know why those numbers were deleted from the original source.

zaichik, I'm not sure if it was worth it. It's pretty small. If you check back through the thread you'll see the link. It's all over with pretty quickly.

Any chance of extending the recent comments per page to cover all that white empty unused space?
