It's a simple case of SIDS, yes, it happens in every country and under any circumstances, probably nothing the caregiver could have done. A sleeping baby has a very light breath, you need to be close to it to become noticeable. Baby beds fitted with sensors are only standard in bith clinics, not in care homes...

Export - everything under 20cm is pretty risky, especially in stations where trains can pass at full speed, and/or where is a curve in the platform (most of the stations are curved). Think that the cars are not flexible, and the car's midpoint is at risk to strike the platform.

If a couple consider reading each other e-mails as DV, they are not verymuch bound together aren't they.. Granted, it does take a lot of trust in your partner to be completely OK with this, but I can proudly say in my family we do this and don't consider it violent in any way...
