2050?!?! Nope, that's a mistake.. By 2050 we've better have the hydrogen fusing, making al fissile technology look stone-age...

whoa - thank you Sergey - the money will be well spent.

I'm one of the editors...More than 5000 edits until now ;). Wikipedia is like a very rare fruit, needs a lot of love, but gives back so much. Completely independent from any company, country, politics... I can't imagine something bad happening to it.

nanda - reactors are unsafe only because of the people leading their supervision. The technology is not inherently unsafe, the people behind it make it so. Therefore the reason not to start it is perfect - the people supervising it are not trustworthy...

Edano - my favourite politician in Japan. Made out of rock, a guy that knows when to shout and kick at idiots in order to get through... Last year he was basically an unknown nobody, but did very well after the earthquake and obviously deserves his position...

degenerated retards should not be allowed to breed. Strange that one needs permits for everything (including keeping pets), but everyone is freely allowed to have children, even when obviously both parents are way under the average IQ and lack basic parenting capabilities.. Such news always make me sick...

Strange - Suzuki shows very aggressive behaviour (purchase of FIAT Diesel instead of VW's TDI), then they are those who complain. As far as I remember, VW always resorted to calm talks "behind closed doors", and Suzuki were always coming public with such explosive statements.

In the end, VW gives them the finger and just waits for the takeover chance (if not this year then the next one, or the next next one, and so on)...

I can't help but wonder how many have been executed on the very same stadium.

Holly... This game was so utterly boring it wouldn't deserve three lines in a printed newspaper. I must wonder why is n korea allowed to participate in the championship though? They don't fulfil the most basic requirements of human rights and dignity. I would refuse to play them...

A lot of sour grapes around here, isn't it... I never liked whiskey, but drinkers say Suntori's stuff is among the best they'd had. I Believe a good dink should cost around 5000 yen or more for a 750 ml bottle.

Edojin, good advice, it's really interesting and one can get really close to it... All in all, it's a very interesting machine.

300000 yen is peanuts for a good fishing crew. If they allow them to take the boat they'll be back in notime.

Womens cancer screening methods make me mental. In this day and age can they not come up with a way of screening for beast cancer that doesnt involve squeezing the twins flat between two steel plates until they beg for mercy? You can bet if men had to stick their crown jewels between those plates and have them squeezed flat once a year theyd come up with a new screening method pretty damned quick!

I'm a man but I know what you mean as I had to do it myself (on my right one only, and I have a really flat, fat free chest). It hurts like hell. This happened after a stupid mistake in archery. I got struck by a yumi string, and the whole right side got as hard as a rock. It healed by itself in about 6 months, but nevertheless it was much better after hearing it's no problem...

Therefore, although I suffered during it, this test (combined with ultrasonic) was what brought me peace of mind.

I seldom would say this, but China did the right thing here. It's time that petty criminals are treated as such, and nothing more. I'm sure the fishers will be back home soon after paying a fine.

It was a way to try to answer some critics that Asimo, first shown in 2000, had been of little practical use so far, proving to be nothing more than a glorified toy and cute showcase for the Honda brand.

Headless idiotic critics.. Asimo was not developed as a nuclear rescue robot but mostly as a marketing tool (and it does that job wonderfully). Tepco should have been under fire for not founding nor developing the required technologies. I wonder why nobody criticizes Tepco for killing some robotics projects just a few years ago. Why on Earth should Honda even care about Tepco's faeces??

paulinusa - yes, I know the statistics. It still does not change what I've written, Planes are so reliable now that landing gear failures are among the worst that can happen. They can easily get ugly (think landing on a partially opened one - as in only the nose and one side gear) By the way, I'm a private pilot (PPL license for small one engined planes ans SPL for gliders) myself,

landing gear failures are among the worst. Usually a pilot never experiences them, and when it happens it does make the news.. No one likes to be dependent on luck in order to survive..

the purpose of shaken is not safety..but to insure that people use the parts the manufacturer recommends

90% of it is safety. You disagree with yourself in the same phrase. Using not recommended (not allowed) parts would automatically (and understandably) cancel your insurance. Nowadays modern cars are just not like those from 30 years ago, when everyone could fix it by blowing in the carburettor and kicking the tyres.
