Did anyone read this regarding Obamas 90 degree bow to Japan's Emperor?
"State department protocol indeed decrees that presidents bow to no one."
No? Try Again.
"State department protocol indeed decrees that presidents bow to no one."
STATE DEPARTMENT PROTOCOL = PRESIDENTS BOW TO NO ONE
Got it now?

The President of the United States should only meet with ELECTED heads of State for political matters. Emperors, Queens etc are only celebrities. Sure, the President of the U.S. may meet with a movie or rock star just like any other celebrity.

Junnama - "So you're saying he shouldn't have visited the Emporer at all, since he is just some old man? He is Japan's head of state after all..."
Yes, I am saying that.

"State department protocol indeed decrees that presidents bow to no one, and has had to deal with similar controversies before, when then president Bill Clinton did a semi-bow to Japan's Emperor Akihito."

"On every single occasion, Obama has gone out of his way to display inferiority and fealty to foreign royalty. Not only is this considered a violation of state department protocol, which decrees that presidents bow to no one, it also goes against the grain of historical American opposition to Kings and Emperors."

According to the Constitution of the United States of America ALL people are born equal with equal rights.
A true American does not acknowledge Emperors, Kings, Queens etc. If I met the Emperor I would just shake his hand and give the common courtesy bow that I would give any older man. The Japanese Emperor is only an old man to me (and should be to all Americans).

America is much more flexible than Japan. ANYTHING can happen in America over the next few years, most likely HUGE change.. for better or worse. I personally think the U.S. will fracture into regions that are either tools of the Fed or independent rebel States (I really wish Oregon, Washington and British Columbia would merge...), but I digress... Japan will be pretty much the same for quite awhile, I think, and the rest of the world will pull Japan along like some demented old fart that needs mobility assistance.

Hephatsheput - "10% unemployment: The Clinton/Obama legacy."
Actually it's more an Al Gore legacy. He pushed NAFTA the most. And Obama promised to end NAFTA, but lied, yes, LIED. Obama is a liar. NAFTA started the destruction of the U.S. And then Goldman Sachs (bank), the (non)Federal Reserve with Geithner etc gutted the rest of the U.S.

Oh, and 4 blades was a joke on the Onion (satirical newspaper) but even 4 blades is real now! Sorry, off topic.
If they want to improve something how about the ironing BOARD. Stop the damn thing screeching like a banshee... and make the board so it can double as a REAL surf board.

Some things just don't need to be improved anymore. Irons, toothbrushes.. why does a shaver need 4 or even 5 blades?? 3 blades was a Saturday Night Live JOKE years ago.

thepaceisglacia - "What alternative to democracy do you support?"
A Constitutional Republic is better than a democracy.
A democracy is two wolves and a sheep deciding what's for dinner. A CR is the same as a democracy but the sheep has RIGHTS and so is protected from the wolves. For example, the 2nd Amendment protects the sheep's rights to have a gun to keep the wolves in line.

“We’re at a point now..blah blah blah...you don’t have yet in place the conditions for a self-sustaining recovery led by the private sector that...blah blah blah...can bring unemployment down and get factories investing,” he said.
“Our collective judgment is that it’s going to take continued carefully designed support from government policy as a bridge to a recovery in private demand,” he said. “It’s too early on a global basis to see people shift to restraint."
What Geithner is saying is that the government needs to give banks more power.

"Why would you not use a picture of Tarantino in this article?"
Moderator: Because the commercial hasn't been finished yet.
The commercial doesn't need to be finished in order to show (any) photo of Tarantino.
Moderator: Well, then, since we already used a photo of him in the previous Entertainment story this morning (with Brad Pitt), we thought it would be better to use a different photo for this story.
How about cut out the lower half of Ueto and Dante's photo and then have Tarantino's big smiling mug below theirs? Then you would have all three.

I think Christmas is a bunch a bullcrap anyway. Let's cut down a symbol (the evergreen tree) of everlasting life (your spirit) killing it. Then after you have symbolically destroyed your soul, let's put a bunch of bling on it and spread a lot of materialistic garbage around it. A ritual of how consumerism sucks the soul right out of you. Bah humbug!

Bet she was on a psychotropic drug. I'm starting to think that all J women are drugged up on something. It seems to me more than half the men and all the old farts are drunk.. the younger women are probably popping happy pills. I think the growing violence is more chemical than just societal.
Furthermore, it just seems everyone in Japan over the age of say, 17, is a selfish piece of fried rhino sphincter.
