Wake up Sarge! If the first she heard of his death was seeing this display (as the "shocked" expression suggests) she must have been living in a cave in inaka-ville somewhere. Somehow I don't think she has been but you can always live out whatever fantasy you might have.

I always wonder what kind of visa these guys have. Wouldnt a visa swoop net a lot of these guys or are the authorities scared of approaching them?

The biggest issue I have about these guys is how they tell the locals they're American. How about a bit of pride. Who in 2009 wants to lie about being an American? Damn, most of my American friends travel the world pretending they're Canadian!

Ahh still the Japan haters find a reason to post! Can't remember any WS champions going across the field to congratulate the other team. Teams are usually so euphoric about winning and congratulating their team mates, that they celebrate with each other. It's not a snub against other teams. They are just caught up in the moment.

I have to agree with northlondon here. Japan won in spite of Hara not because of him. Using a guy to close out a game who usually pitches every 5 days after pitching the day before while having a proven closer in Fujikawa in the pen ready to go was inexplicable.

In the bottom of the 9th, Korea had a runner in scoring position and was just one hit away from a walk off win. I wonder what the headlines would have read if they got that hit.

The Japanese players deserve all the credit here. Hara was clueless.

Blue Tiger, you hate Japan. We get it. The best team won, move on and cheer up.

Yeah you're right Jeff198524. Those people coming to Japan for just a one-week holiday should take Japanese lessons until they are reasonably fluent before coming.

Jobs that serve the community ie teachers, cops, health professionals etc. Oh and when I say "teachers" I mean, real teachers. Not novelty items like ALT's and eikawa teachers. You will be the first to go when things get tight.

something isn't right there. Maybe some spat between crew members, resulting in 'I'll see you outside' and a scuffle on deck. Over the New Year, so alcohol likely involved. If other crew members are involved, let's hope there's a proper inquiry and those responsible pay the price.

Someones been watching too many police dramas. Let's get detective Cleo on the case.

My Mother-in-law is an elementary school principal and was working yesterday. It depends on the city/prefecture I guess but it's not too much of a stretch given the time of year, that he was probably working, or at least supposed to be working, yesterday as well.

Dont change the subject. You said foreign players were traded frequently. WRONG. Once their contract expires they are free to sign with whoever they want. They are free agents, they are NOT traded.

Your posts imply you are a newbie to the game. Im more than happy to educate you but please thank me rather than say Im "confused." Oh dear.
