Northlondon, Im still waiting for an accurate post from you. Foreign players DONT get "traded around like baseball cards." Foreign players generally get signed to short-term contracts, usually just one year. At the ehd of the season they are free agents and can negotiate with any team they like. This is completely different to a trade where a player is still under contract and dealt to another team in exchange for someone or something that is considered to be of mutual benefit.

I'm waiting for Tamori to find out that it's actually not cool wearing sunglasses all the time. I think the "sunglasses at night/wearing them indoors" thing died out when Miami Vice was cancelled.

I dont like that segement of Japanese society that is clearly trying to imitate another race. Hiroko be proud of being Japanese and stop trying to look like something you are not.

Well Sydney FC and the A League go way back. It's hard to put those 3 years of history, tradition and bitter rivalries aside.

HA HA HA Rugby "world" cup! Let me get this right. Its popular in just 2 states of Australia and then just in the middle class suburbs, NZ, Sth Africa and then a few countries in Europe. Sure its a novelty in places like Italy, Fiji, Ireland etc but a world cup???? This is truly crazy!!!

Okayama, a small city but we have just seen stories about people getting pushed in front of trains and now this. Anyone who has had the misfortune of spending more than a few days there would agree that it is a really weird place. A very uptight atmosphere with a distinct lack of communtiy spirit. Man, I love living in Osaka.

Wow you can use google? Im impressed! I was actually looking for something indicating popularity NOW, not 4 years ago or even a year ago - an eternity in the fickle pop market.

For a country that prides itself on their appreciation of nature, this is a disgrace. Anyone who has climbed Mt Fuji (a so-called national icon) can account for the disregard many Japanese show for nature. You will never find a beach in Australia covered in trash like you do here. BTW, Im not an Aussie, just an observation I made when I was there for 2 years.

Im out of the loop music-wise, is this just a case of "big in Japan" and fizzled out overseas or is she still popular overseas?
