Yes, take on the root causes. Does any nation have a "right to exist" on lands that it has stolen and ethnically cleansed a population?

whether they have the right or not is irrelevant at this point. israel exists and they are determined not to go anywhere. they have better (nuclear) arms and are not afraid to use them if the feel its in their best interest, dam world opinion. attacking them only hardens and justifies their stance. there is no way the palestinians can win by force at this point. they need to understand this and move on. goading the israelis into killing their own kids is not the way to go.

if HAMAS didn't fire the rockets from GAZA in the first place, israel would have no reason to fire into GAZA to destroy rocket emplacements. if they stopped firing a couple days ago when israel stopped, several hundred people would still be alive.

the fact is the people of GAZA picked HAMAS as their leaders, they hide HAMAS and their weapons in and around their homes knowing israel will fire back if fired upon. while the death of children is tragic, it is HAMAS that is using them as a shield for their attacks so it is HAMAS at whose door their deaths should be laid.

costs of land, fertilizer, labor. spoilage. land is limited to price is high. japan has to import a lot of stuff so the cost of fertilizer, equipment, etc. is high. the farmers actually will cut off a bunch of fruit to force the plant to focus all the nutrients on the remaining fruit, which are lovingly hand wrapped to protect them from sun and bugs, etc...whether its worth it or not is a personal decision but i don't think anywhere grows better.

Experts and DeSoto’s girlfriend have testified that he was not functioning normally.

but did he know right from wrong? that is the question. killing people is wrong and even most crazy people know that.

if the government wants to do that they should just buy all the land at whatever the price the land owner asks. they are spending a #$% load of money on it already. what's another couple billion.

how do you compensate them for the loss of their way of life, if not for the loss of life itself? TEPCO should have been put into bankruptcy and all profits from operations should have gone to paying lives and livelyhoods destroyed. the banks put pressure on the politicians so they wouldn't have their loans wiped out. unfortunately, the people will only get a pittance.

he should not only payback the expense but also his salary cause he obviously wasn't doing what he is paid to do.

and what's worse is DIET POLITICIAN have even LESS oversight over their expenses, who knows what they've been claiming as "expenses"....

draw the border as you like and tell the palestinians take it or leave it but that any attacks coming from their side will be considered an act of war and answered in kind, 10 fold, i.e. random missile launches will be answered with random missile launches. then its up the palestinian people to police themselves or be wiped out.

smoking anything is not "harmless". the question is really how harmful is it? which would depend on how much you smoke.

They often repeat and talk about war memories, which are still fresh in the minds of many.

interesting comparison to india/pakistan. part of the problem with china/japan is that china is actively promoting the discord for political advantage. china's anti-japanese education only started in the early '90s. they need an outside enemy to take the people's eye off domestic problems. most japanese bear no animosity for the chinese but recently i feel its rising in response to the constant whining by the chinese. after all they didn't do anything wrong to the chinese.

I would say the typical Japanese citizen is certainly scrupulously honest. It's such a pity that this phenomenon doesn't seem to exist in political or business circles.

    touche...

except for umbrellas, i've dropped/forgotten my wallet and other things and have gotten them back. never ceases to amaze me.

and the lying continues....he never really answers any of the questions and the crying is just an act to get out of answering...can he be disciplined or impeached? he deserves it.

he says he's going to give back the money but he should also give back his salary for not doing what he's paid for.

smoke doesn't have to leak if the room was set up properly to have sufficient negative air pressure.

Posted in: Even if a smoking room is set up, smoke can leak when people open and close the door. I think the central government has to work on achieving a complete smoking ban.

tepco should not survived as company in the first place. that they have been put into bankruptcy is a travesty of justice. government should exist to protect citizens not big businesses who were negligent.

How many times has Hashimoto apologized? Zero.

why does hashimoto need to apologize for comfort women? or the vast majority of the japanese populace for that matter? did they use these comfort women? no. did they rape any korean women 70 years ago? no. has japan officially apologized? yes.

obviously, the korean and chinese keep bringing these old issues up for political gain.
