if he just taken his medicine and served out his sentence in the US at the time which was too lenient to begin with, he wouldn't have been arrested. justice is served.

i heard his mother even offered to pick her up from the station.

it would also explain why the guy is such a loser.

Ozawa is a chip off the corrupt LDP old school politics block. appointing him to a position of power does nothing for the DPJ's image as reformers.

the fact that he tried to give cpr seems to indicate that she may already have been dead at the time. we don't know how quickly she died and i don't think he would have tried cpr unless she had no heart beat and was not breathing. if she was dead, calling the ambulance would not have been particularly useful, especially considering that ambulances take a long time to come here and even when they do, they may not have been able to find a hospital to take her in anyway. in which case, what's the difference between waiting a couple of hours? easy to armchair quarterback what he should or shouldn't have done in that situation after the fact. in fact, he shouldn't have gotten himself into that situation in the first place but that's another story. at least his sister sounds like she has her head on straight.

its always been around but seems like its getting worse as more people catch on that enforcement is lax and penalties are low.

Well, at least the driver is conscientious enough to make sure his taxi is clean.

...because he has all this time on his hands due to there being too many taxis which nobody wants to ride them since they got the fares raised cause they weren't making enough to support themselves. when i have to use a taxi i use mk as much as possible since they didn't raise their fares. if anything they should have made the fare cheaper to encourage people to ride. there are tons of taxis in HK but its hard to find an empty one cause they are so cheap.

the problem is that fads in japan boom for a very short time so you have to get in and make your money and get out before the bust. to me sounds like he's just trying to get out before the bust which is smart business although unfortunate for the workers.

unfortunately, we will never know what really happened but she was a consenting adult and as far as we know, took the drugs of her own free will. if fact its possible that she took the second pill cause the sex was so good after the first one.

somebody should have thrown a shoe at him! as far as i know, islam does not condone the violence against its people so i don't see how iran can continue to call itself an islamic republic when it does not follow the dictates of islam, call a spade a spade, its a military dictatorship.

i don't see how iran can continue to call itself an islamic republic when denies its people the practice traditional islamic rites. the actions of the revolutionary guard are those of a military dictatorship led by khamenei and ahmadinejad trying to hold on to its current power and influence i.e. the ability to make money.

the victim has to press charges in order for the police to act. obviously, she did not and the result was her mother's death.

fds; Do you also get a kick about how most minorities are treated yucky wucky and those not "normal" have t hide their true selves. Bet that wasn't considered in the poll by the rich know alls.

unfortunately, minorities are pretty much treated "yucky wucky" (whatever that is) where ever they are in the minority but what does this have to do with my comment? or the article? i'm guessing that you are not a minority in london so is that why you favor london?

i always get a kick about how people talk about how expensive fruit is here. yes they are expensive but you have to remember that these 2000 yen watermelons, mangoes, peaches, etc. are basically hand raised. the farmers hand wrap them individually to protect them from bugs and actually cut off the other lesser fruits so that the nutrients all go into raising those select ones.

the big downsides that i can think of about living here are the crowds and lack of manners. while tokyo is expensive, i don't think its much worse than any large metropolis. there are places where you can get things inexpensively. the barrier to some extent is language. its hard to find some of these places and get service once you do if you don't read/speak japanese.
