According to J-news, Hirakawa, one of the 3 men, was a regular customer at a place where the girl works for (she might be a hostess) and he found out that the girl has a boy friend and decided to do what he's done to her.. sigh..

Me if I had a husband, he could only go in there with a blindfold over his eyes ;)

I'd like to go there with my husband.. I don't mind there are pretty girls with big boobs there, and I don't mind my husband looking at them because I know he will think I'm far BETTER than those girls (BIG smile) :)) He's done a pretty good job making me feel secure and being around pretty women wouldn't make me feel insecure with my honey.

I don't think the food at hooters actually is any better than TGIF, and I don't think TGIF is cheap at all... but I like both Hooters and TGIFriday's.. they have some pretty good food (not all, but some are pretty good).

Junnama- Japan Post Office offer Debit card as well :) post office ATM is often better than bank ATMs... It is also free to transfer money to other Post office accounts (banks charge money to transfer money to another bank or/and other branches of the same bank). So I highly recommend Post office!! Plus, it is much easier to find post offices anywhere you go!!! even in the country side, there are always post offices :)

The rules seem to be the same as for Japanese(need to work for current employer for 2+yrs, etc). Of course rules vary a bit between institutions

right, there are some banks that are more flexible, some are not, but it is still possible for foreigners to get loan :)

No credit card or loan as a foreigner no matter how impressive your account may be

I'm with asahi man and Zenny, too. Foreigners can get loan (car, house etc) as long as they have valid work or spouse visa. If you have a student visa, that's a whole different story, but people with work visa and/or spouse visa, permanent residents can get loan.

    love-

This is Japanese culture. As lame as you might think it is, Asians don't. Anime, Disney, Cute... So for the theories of a fat cat with his child drawing it convincing others blah blah blah..you are WAY OFF..they chose it because they honestly think it is perfect for their people!!!

Quick looked Yahoo Japan comments about this character (sorakara-chan)... Obviously, Japanese people think this character very lame as well LOL

KaptainKichigai - the guy isn't the girl's biological father. they lived together but he wasn't even officially married to the mother.

The couple wasn't arrested for putting the girl in the washing machine over night. They were arrested for beating up the girl (the girl is still unconscious and is in hospital). Later on the couple told the police that they had put the girl in the washer before but this wasn't the reason why they got arrested.

The couple has another child and they used to beat her up but they said that the 6-year-old girl had the attitude and didn't like that. The day this girl was beaten up and became unconscious, the couple did not give her lunch.. the poor girl was so hungry that she ate dinner quickly in a room alone --- when the couple peeked in the room, the girl had already finished eating (of course.. she was very very hungry) and they beat her up for eating quickly until she became unconscious.

This article should state that the girl is in a critical condition.

and this mother actually has ANOTHER child (this girl's younger sister). i hope this little one will be taken away from the monster mom and the guy.

the day the girl went unconscious, the couple was beating her up for over an hour because the girl ate dinner too fast. they put the girl in a different room with dinner, told her to eat slow. When they peeked in the room later on, the girl had already finished the dinner and they got angry, started beating her up until she was unconscious. this isn't discipline.. the girl experienced hell.. the couple should be put in jail for the rest of their lives and never see the sunshine again.

The couple, who have been identified as 24-year-old Mariko Hayashi and 26-year-old Keiji Fujii

by the way, they are the girl's biological mother and the mother's boyfriend living together..

can anyone imagine being put in the washer over night? this is just beyond normal people's imagination...

In Japan, marriage is not much more than a man giving almost all his salary to a woman to make children and take care of them. That does not mean Japanese women cheat more, but lots of them certainly consider money as more important than love or sex. Behind this, that cuteness, the kawaii factor is very powerful in Japanese women's mentality. They like babies, cute anime characters and cute clothes more than anything else, it seems. Men have an obsessive care about their job and status and for most of the men, their job is the first wife and the real wife is more of a roomate.

wow, you sure know about japanese marriage very well!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i read and hear things like this from non-japanese, but most of my japanese family friends are really nothing like this. fathers/husbands go out and spend time with their family on weekends.. at least the ones I hang out with always care about their families and they participate in sports with their kids, go to park with kids/family.. My family hang out with other Japanese families to go out with very often.

they like cute anime characters?? well, they might like some anime characters, but certainly not more than anything else... when i talk with my j-girl friends, anime talk is probably like once or twice a year, that's all.. even then, it's usually about some anime we used to watch as kids and talking about childhood memories.

I really don't like it when people generalize the whole J-women.. the whole J-families, Japanese people... Everyone is different and I think of those stero types really silly.

And when Japanese people eat Japanese food outside of Japan, often enough it is not a satisfying experience... so, here we go.. Just because you think its great it doesn’t mean its great for everyone. Just because you don’t think its great, it doesn’t mean it is not great to everyone else.

Just because you don't like the way it tastes, doesn't mean it's bad. For example, Thai food, Korean food, Indian food and etc are way too spicy for most Japanese if they made it the way it's supposed to be, so it is natural to make it more for Japanese to sell in Japan. Many foreigners dislike Japanese pizza (mayo pizza and etc) but most Japanese love it. Many Japanese can't stand sweet iced tea they get in western countries and love green tea while many foreigners don't like the taste of green tea. I think this article is senseless.
