dodgy stuff but if the Romeros were kind caring people then perhaps these kids had a chance for a happy home life, their real mum ditched them, trucker lady didnt want them, Romeros did. Not ideal but there you go. I have heard of wierder things.

Why didn't she cry out?? perhaps she thought he might be a Vince Li type (guy who attacked and beheaded a random stranger on a bus in Canada last year) For all she knew he could have been such a psychopath and it could have come unstuck for her in a hurry. Kudos to her for keeping a level head.

Vegetarians - people who eat what "food" eats. If you want to be a vegetarian - go for gold, I admire those who really stick to their guns especially in Japan. Though don't expect me to go out to dinner with you, one of my pet peeves is dining in Japan with vegetarians: for more trouble than it's worth. Most vegetarians I know keep their opinions to themselves anyway, we agree to disagree and are friends for reasons other than 'food'. Actually being a meateater is hard in Japan - so much low quality crap meat - I eat a lot less than I used to. I wish I could head off into the mtns with a rifle and get some real meat - fresh wild meat, but alas.

Katsu - what is this countries is obession with this cheap nasty meat? ..guess I just answered my question - cheap. I really feel sorry for school kids who get katsu served up on a near daily basis. Fitting that a cheap overused meat is being paraded by another overused piece of TV meat: Monta, that man will die in the studio.

Lucky its panasonic - I like panasonic and have lots of their goods anyway. Would suck if you worked at an Electronics company that produced overpriced (i.e sony ) or just plain mediocre goods (i.e Sanyo). Could be worse.
besides this is just an extension of the bonus system they had last year where Panasonic workers got a bonus only if they spent it Panasonic goods.

I teach 14 y.o junior high school girls and some of them look and act a lot older and could pass for 17-18 - if she lied to ths guy that she was 18 and she has the body of a 18 y.o.
In regards to the age of consent, IIRC in between 13 and 18 depending on the local jurisdiction, Tokyo is 17 - hence he has been nabbed.
All that being said, he was still sleazebag who should have known better and got caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

you are all wrong - the guy in the photo makes the photo - its the juxtaposition of it all. What is the guy looking at? he seems pretty mesmerized by something that she hasn't noticed. It a great photo - very Henri Cartier-Bresson-esque: capturing a moment. Though wouldn't expect the philistines around here to appreciate it.

really? and here was me thinking it was a back 2 1/2 somersault with 2 1/2 twists off the 10m tower.
Granted it takes a lot of skill to do well and get paid lots of cash to do it, but whether they takes roids or not I don't really care. There is no equality in sports like baseball to begin with, for example the yankees payroll is something like 8 times that of the Brewers payroll...The cash injection beats the testosterone injection hands down.
