    Rubbish.

"when asked how his band wants to be remembered"

hahahahha. To be remembered, you must first be known.

Golf is a great sport. Don't knock something until you try it.

Don't blame the kid for the media. He just wants to play golf.

I think he will make the cut. At his age, he is less likely to suffer from many of the symptoms of jet lag that his elders will experience.

Granted, the J-media are pretty much worthless.

    This is awesome.

I have met him and even gotten to be in a group playing behind him. He is truly a great golfer and a good kid. He deserves this success....

There are a few Marines here in Atsugi. I have been here a while and am a former Marine.

As far as you who automatically look for the fault of the Marine, don't. He did good, and the japanese guy is a notorious Yak. You can see him just near the base every morning in his bling blind escalade.

Do the right thing even when no one is looking. That is what the Marine obviously did. I am glad someone was looking anyways.

    Bento,

Minohara is on my "to-do" list. So far, I have played Yomiuri, Tokyo Kokusai, Sagamihara CC (both courses), Tama, Zama, and I am a member at Atsugi, so I play there all the time.

Its a shame that the only comments thus far are from people not "in the know" when it comes to golf here.

I play at least 2x a week and am a solid 12 handicapper right now. I have seen a tremendous increase in female golfers on the course, not just in the galleries. It has nothing at all to do with idol worship or "jet set" garbage, rather they have found that it is a sport that is not limited by gender or even economic status as it once was.

My wife is an avid golfer and plays with me on most occasions. We have a few friends who are JLPGA pros, and trust me, they are not disadvantaged due to the fact that they are women.

If people say it is boring, most likely it is because they haven't actually tried it enough to see improvement. For those who think it is a personality defect or a symptom of a neglected marriage, you need to get out more, and not just on the high horse you are perched.

Kick butt movie. Even my Japanese wife loves it. Simon Pegg is a cool actor with a few other good titles.

What is her relation? Cant they at least scrounge up someone even closely associated?

My take is that they should cordon off an area specifically for the tourists, and charge them an admission fee. They get to see the fish, the real action would happen away from them where the workers can concentrate, and a new income stream is created.

    Everone wins.

You don't need to be a permanent resident, but you do have to have an alien registration.

Don't even try it if you are military or SOFA status.

    jeffrey,

    He reports the news.

France had an excess of rain, causing the crop for the current year of grapes to be substandard and smaller than normal. This in turn led the vintners to use less desireable grapes, resulting in a lower quality product than other years.

Haha. I was listening to Paul Harvey on the radio (actuall, Ron Chapman in for Paul Harvey), and they were saying that due to an abnormal amount of rain, this is the works year for the wine in a long long time.

This explains the push with articles and tripe to get publicity for it. If not, NOONE would drink this swine.

I used to go to driving range like that, and just whack the balls in any old way. Every single time, some ojiisan would come and teach me the 'correct' way to hit the golf ball. Though every ojiisan's style was always so different, so I never really learned anything.

Ha! So true. The easiest thing in the world to get is a free golf lesson. Every one wants to be a teacher.

Best thing to do is go to a Golf 5. They usually have lessons for about 3000 yen an hour. Then, go play! If you have a buddy who works on one of the bases you will play much much cheaper.

    Meh.

All he had to do was stay out of trouble. Too bad for him.

American justice at its worst is when he was let go for criminal charges but found liable for the civil charges. Now, it is just desserts.

    No pity from me.

Tko, I am agreeing with you, but can you see the responses of others who share your political views?

That cup'o'tea must have been damn good.

Franknbeans. Lefties? Left handed people or your perception of liberals?

I understand the difference between politically left and socially left. I am referring to the socially left.
