BB, noone said there was drugs on the base. Only the workers growing it in the mountains.

The association of the base has NOTHING to do with this story. Most likely, these miscreats dont integrate with the military personnel, don't work for the US Gov, and dont represent the military…

No double standard. What is their occupation? Do you know anything about the Bases, and how large an organization they are? They could work for the Japanese Military and not even be associated with the US Side...

The proof is in the details, which are sadly omitted here. You, as…

Kick butt movie. Even my Japanese wife loves it. Simon Pegg is a cool actor with a few other good titles.

I don't agree. It is simply an attempt to link the pot problem to the presence of US Bases. If they were "schoolteachers" i can understand it. Or "bar worker" or any other moniker that labels a profession in order to provide an accurate description. I am sure these people…

    So smooth!

Trying to link the current marijuana problem with the US bases! I hope people are intelligent enough to discern that these are Japanese doing this and not military personnel. It is a mere coincidence about the base but somehow it gets pushed into the headline.

My take is that they should cordon off an area specifically for the tourists, and charge them an admission fee. They get to see the fish, the real action would happen away from them where the workers can concentrate, and a new income stream is created.

    Everone wins.

You don't need to be a permanent resident, but you do have to have an alien registration.

Don't even try it if you are military or SOFA status.

    jeffrey,

    He reports the news.

France had an excess of rain, causing the crop for the current year of grapes to be substandard and smaller than normal. This in turn led the vintners to use less desireable grapes, resulting in a lower quality product than other years.
