When the media say "he moved" to the US, how does one just "move" to the US? Or in this case, he "left Japan". Under what visa was he able to obtain US Permanent Residence then gain US Citizenship?

What is the definition of fluent? I read in an article Lucy Liu of Charlie's Angels fame is suppose to speak three languages. In my mind being able to say "konichi wa" does not qualify as "speaking" a language.

I don't think anyone can be "fluent" in 4 or more…

One more comment...the difference btwn US schools and Japanese schools. Japanese educational systems has discipline, no freedom but lacks creativity.

Where as US system too much freedom and no discipline. There are problems with both systems, no system is perfect, but if you have a hybrid child with the discipline…
