It is too long a period of time to name one. Last 50 years would be easier.
How are we supposed to comment on the song writing ability of people who lived in entirely different times to us and wrote for different reasons...
I am liking the suggestions so far though, and would add...
Liam Howlett, Noel Gallagher, Richard D. James, Seasick Steve, Nick Cave, Joy Division, Inspiral Carpets, Happy Mondays, etc etc.

This story is brutal. Heart-breaking. Poor little ones!

A massive self-pwn if the mother was there, and an even more massive pwn if she wasn't. If she had her sh-t together, this wouldn't have happened. Winge all you like, but you have seen how they flail around with zero self-awareness.
I feel very bad for the kid. It is a tragedy for a little one to die like this. I hope he is in a comfy happy place now. I am sure he is.

A lot of animals for sure. Having seen the pet shops here, I am kind of thinking (well, 100% thinking), that this place had animals stacked to the ceiling like TV's in BicCamera. I am also thinking that these poor little buggers had bright lights pointed at them with noisy customers traumatizing them during the long shop hours, to the point where you could see it in their eyes that they were not happy.
A fire killing 90 animals... Yeah. I think, to be honest, it was a blessed release from their fate at the hands of the one-up-man-ship pet owning brigade i.e., everyone who buys a pet from one of these brutal floor to ceiling animal interrogation centres.
Living meat accessory parlors, made by cnts, for cnts.
