Cheap is good. Dont know if many would change route for only the one night special. I can imagine Thailand might be really cheap too right at the moment.

With the declining birthrate the examination system has become something of a joke, even for some Japanese. From the universities, which are increasingly desperate and cash strapped to get bums on seats, back down to the junior high schools, the standards are going down. Students know they can get into a university. It is just a question of which one. And they know everyone graduates all through the system. So many arent really under pressure to study hard. And it shows. The Japanese govt needs to bring in a standards-based approach and start failing those who don't meet set standards. But that won't happen which is why no foreigner with kids I know wants to send their kids through the system. Because it is crap!

Apart from the options for developing countries, the rest sound much like what is available in Vista. Perhaps M could be more honest with options that include descriptions like - Home takes forever to boot up Basic or Starter runs very slowly in any country or how about Business can't run drivers or old software or how about Ultimate paid too much for nothing new. Not really catchy. Wonder if they will botch 7 up.

Love to go. Big 3 day party. Lots of fast action with national pride to boot. About a trillion times more fun than watching baseball.

Well I think thats why they make weapons. There is a lot less incentive to make weapons if they cant use them in bargaining. And I think the more you negotiate with NK the more nukes they will make (see past 10 years neg history) making the world less safe.

So it is give us aid or else. Thats what these useless never-ending talks are for... giving them aid. When will the world wake up! NK will never disarm!!! It just want aid to prop up their terrible regime. And give all the negotiators well-paid jobs. Cut it all I say. Heres what I think the response should be to all NK type governements - if ever use any weapons against us, we will use ours. End of discussion.

The gunmen—some of whom strode casually through their targets in khakis and T-shirts—clearly came ready for a siege.... Hard to believe a group could organize such a large scale attack without authorities somewhere hearing something, especially as they were so brazen. Its just a bit unbelievable that they could pull this off without their equilavent of their FBI/CIA/homeland security etc hearing something. 119 killed is a shocking number.

A kind thought that Pete cares but I think it's much more likely there is a limit on the volume. Every stadium concert I've been to here has been on the low side. I mean it is THE WHO. Imagine if it were Black Sabbath or Deep Purple. I wonder if they turned it up, would Japanese fans complain. And the atmosphere before you go in is almost like going to a speech or lecture. Maybe the organizers keep the volume down to keep things calm and controlled. Well, different country.

I went to it. Great show. Lead and vocals both really good with good energy. Some of the extended tracks were fantastic. Just wish it had been a bit louder. No ear ringing sound this morning. Spoiler ahead....no guitar smashing.

Your tax money (700 billion +) to pay off rich bankers and pay politicians to reward those who made money for making risky loans. All to boot with a pretty useless president and his crap war (also 700 billion +). If I were American wouldn't be too keen on paying taxes.

Agreed. For the majority, contract work = temporary, no future, lower paid and no benefits. It's just Mr Wahl lives on a completely different planet and has a self interest in promoting this type of work. He should try talking to Mr Average on the street once in a while.

Wonder if the girls know the fruit originally came from China. Yes, they were called Chinese Gooseberry in NZ. Bet Zespri hasn't mentioned that minor fact to anyone on their advertising. Doesn't have the same ring to it and sounds a bit like Chinese gyoza. But who cares anyway about facts and who is even looking at the fruit in the picture. Good marketing Zespri (I have an interest in a kiwifruit orchard...nice little earner). Keep on flogging them off at the ludicrous price of 100 yen per pop. Believe it or not we are even getting the Chinese to buy them too.

Jamaica??? I'm not even sure they even have a rugby team. What a laugh! What exactly do they have to do to express an interest. Write a letter?...an email perhaps? I think someone there might have smoked too much last night. Perhaps they thought they could pull something off like they did with the bobsled team in te Olympics after watching that movie. I wonder if they get a reply letter. It should say something, in polite language, to the effect of ....'get real...which planet are you on...come back and apply next century...thank you for your humor.7

Typical from NK. Endless demands, continuing aid and no concessions given. Why wont the world wake up and tell them to get real.
