JapanGal: Because J companies don't budget for security or IT, they hire the cheapest of cheap and as long as it works it's fine, forget testing or security.... Japanese internet is 5-10 years behind the rest of the world, just hit up any government website, or the fact Japanese companies don't use URL's in their TV commercials but search terms makes my mind boggle.

@crazyjoe; sorry mate don't believe the PR line that they feed you, I can't see how all the drugs, guns, load sharking and sex industry is "not all that bad". Take a loan from the Yakuza and can't pay it off straight away they will send you to the nuclear power plant to work off your debt, send your daughter to the soap land to service people and make your son sell drugs on the street.... "not all that bad heh?"

The yakuza crime syndicates were the first to come to help after 311. Let them do their share.

People are reading this wrong, the Yakuza are sending REGULAR PEOPLE to the the plant to pay off their loan debts to them. The article says the Yakuza are not on the ground but sending people that owe them money there.

Don't mistake their actions, they are just trying to profit from this at the expense of human lives.

The Yakuza owns so much construction companies this was bound to happen, any sort of government handout the the Yakuza are there to take their cut.

While I'm all for Woodford it seems he's made the mistake of quitting the company thinking he could do a proxy takeover but now realized that would destroy the company and now scrambling to stay in the picture.

A daughter-in-law needs to solicit responses on a daily basis. It is in households that neglect to follow up on seemingly small things like this where breakdowns are most likely to occur.

This entire article makes out that the problem is not with the person attacking but the caretakers or the daughter-in-law. This is wrong, it is NEVER the victims fault.

It makes no secret of the fact that whale meat from this research ends up on dinner tables and in restaurants.

Japan used to keep this very secret only in the last few years after it was exposed from protesters.

I disagree with the author, people don't have their own agenda in the west, people have ideas and brainstorm, in Japan I've seen teams following a leader that knew nothing and the project just failed or sucked because no one said anything, in fact I believe most people went along with it knowing it sucked just so they could kick the leader out once the project failed. That is the Japan way I know. In the west groups want the best of the project and speak up, ultimately you need a strong leader to rope people in so if you are a weak leader your project wont go anywhere.

I don't like the generalizations the author presents, it seems she dislikes everything non Japanese.
