  Suzuki are going about this wrong, they should be sueing for breach of contract or agreements rather than trying to get their shares back. If they can prove that VW is not doing what they were told to do then they might have a shot at getting their shares back. It sounds like it to me that Suzuki didn't do the correct paperwork.

  ExportExpert: If the company is doing business in that country they can easily charge them or fine the company, take Toyota's brake problem, Japanese company but America sued.

  @Elbuda Mexicano thanks for the info, I know Japanese GPS's will warn you "drive safe in this area"... is code for "there is a speed camera coming up" but never heard of anyone getting a ticket

  Wanted the cake and to eat it if she tried to renew her US visa... what a selfish person. If she had half a brain she would know she could have renewed her visa at the US embassy in Japan but she went to Hawaii and got arrested, I have no pity for this woman.

  I can't see how this will be resolved, if they let her go to go and get her child she'll never come back and there will be nothing anyone can do. Even if Japan signs the Hague convention it is not applied retroactively.

  It's going to turn into a "we wont let you out of jail until your daughter is in America"... but essentially that is kidnapping a Japanese citizen and holding them for random since Japan is a signature of the Hague convention?

  I hope this works out in the end

  This year’s “after-you-book” surcharge for flights from Japan to Europe is a massive ¥50,000—more than double the pain of last year.

  Still the same price as last year. Check for yourself... they are easily 25-50% more expensive than 5 years ago.

  This blog post doesn't really have a clear message. She feels that she wasn't given enough physical contact as a child but thinks she may have had some suck as her mother stroking her head at night. And she wants to be physically close and loving to her children even though she grew up (apparently) just fine without it. Yet again, she is doing the East vs West and fails by overgeneralizing.

  Good point, I also agree the same applies in many situations in Japan

  I think the tsunami demonstrated that seawall type protection is pretty much useless, wud be foolish in the extreme to re-build & build new ones, they dont work for the most part.

  There was an article on JT that talked about one cities 15 meter tsunami wall that saved them, most other town had only 10 meter ones, I understand the tsunami was nearly 40 meters in some areas but I'm hoping they are not just building on the same place, it means they are dooming the next generation.
