Well, forget the weekly tabloids, as I mentioned above. CH2 is already all over it. If you read Japanese, they are shreading him with word play. He said "I didn't go", also means, in different circumstances, in Japanese "I haven't .... " Um, well, I don't want to get deleted. And lots of other stuff that will leave you in LOL land.

Doctors who take all precautions are getting ebola. What chance do the rest of us have? Imagine one sick person on a crowded Marunouchi Line train during rush hour. One caugh and Tokyo is finished. It can't be stopped.

I guess that the promise of an eternal orgasm would appeal to a certain type of guy. It is not clear to me what women get. I think there is something more to Islam than this.

The real issue is the visa violation, not the diapers. They were engaging in commerce on a chef visa. They should have been making fried rice somewhere, not trading diapers for profit. Well, the law is the law.

Don't worry. I'm pretty sure that when the weekly tabloids get hold of this, they will run with it. Pick up the next edition of Tokyo Sports (東スポー). They will have pictures in the club etc. Remember a decade ago when one politician said that if she didn't read the weekly tabloids, she would not know what was going on in this country.

It is not only little girls. Go to Kinokinuya at Takashimaya in Shinjuku, on the first floor to your left there is a section of comic books on "yayoi". That is little boy on boy sex. It is popular amoung young girls. I have no idea why.

Another fact of life in Japan. When a mother can't accompany husband and daughter to the public bath, the father takes the little girl into the men's side, up to the age of maybe 5 or 6. Nobody pays attention. Also, whe was a kid in the 80s, children were shown naked on golden time TV shows, like taking a bath with the parents, etc. There just isn't an equivalency there. Pornography should be defined as unwilling sex (and a child cannot be "willing"). Don't dilute the meaning.

Maybe the parents just think it is a starting point for getting their daughters into show business.

It is not just Amazon etc. Have you ever watched cartoons on network TV or cable TV? It shows the same thing. I know people will say that it is only cartoons, but it is the same thing watched by young boys.

Japan has never been Christianized. People just see these girls as cute 可愛い. Why is the automatic reaction that this is pornography? I think pornography is the explicit showing of sex acts. That is not the case here.

The women are just not as experienced as the men in covering their tracks.

I wonder about the timing of the exposure of these cases. Why now? Someone doesn't like women in high places?

I think women have not learned to cover their tracks like men have, simply due to lack of experience. The guys have decades of hiding their tracks.

kokohe is right, and I've heard this from Chinese. Even at a "flagship store" in Shanghai or Beijing, they are not 100% sure it is "genuine". But yes, you all are right, tourism in Shinjuku has been vastly increasing on the back of the general increase of tourism, hitting 10 million for the first time. I don't mind the tourists (and even help them when they are lost), but the atmosphere of Shinjuku is changing. When I was a little kid in the 80s, there were still two floor business on the first floor residence on the second floor buildings lining the main drag. They are all gone now.

Yes, I live in Shinjuku. Recently, not only Tifanny, but Gucci, Coach, and Louis Vitton have opened up. And Barneys has been there for ages. Is Shinjuku going upscale? I don't like it! Isetan is sufficient. I want my old down to earth Shinjuku back!! They should stay at Ginza. If Japan is in decline, why are they coming here?

Still, I can't help but wonder if she was simply caught up in an organization set up by her father. Of course, she should have paid attention to that if she didn't. But it does look more like she kind of knew things.

The political class in Japan is completely corrupt, along with their support groups. They inherit their positions from daddy, like Ms. Obuchi, no matter how dumb they are. They just want to come to Tokyo and be big-shots, eat at expensive restaurants, etc etc. They wil never allow reapportion of votes because they would lose their jobs and nobody would hire them, even to work at a convenience store. That is why in the most extreme case, one country hick vote is worth 7 city votes. This is not helped by the fact that Japan is actually run by bureaucrats. No democracy to speak of here.

Following in the steps of Ellen, a fellow gay is hosting. Things are looking up. Now, if only gay marriage would be contemplated in Japan.
