It will be interesting to see what happens if they try walking into banks “with their firearms proudly at their sides.” What civilised country has a population that is so paranoid of its own government that it feels the needs to be allowed to carry guns?

The problem here is not the product itself but the fact that some of the nastiest of drug gangs are moving into unpoliced (unpoliceable) parts of the US, time will come when it will be necessary to send in the army to get them out. As for this ever so logical reasoning that legalisation will remove the problem. Forget it, the product that people want isn’t what will end up in the shops. Government will sell something, but it will be just as “safe” as tobacco and probably get people no higher than tobacco. The black market isn’t going to go away just because some high price rubbish gets legally sold in shops. Besides once having opened the door to marijuana how do you counter arguments that all other drugs are really a matter of free choice? I’m not saying that such a society couldn’t work, but it is one hell of a gamble to take.

“The airline decided to designate women-only lavatories based on a 2007 online survey in which 90% of the women polled said they think women-only lavatories are ‘‘attractive.’‘
Any chance that we (men) can get to see what the rest of this poll had to say, especially what the men had to say? No, can’t imagine ANA published that part.
Or was the poll a women only poll because such things are so much more attractive?

“Could you elaborate? What passport did he use?”
You know perfectly well that I cannot answer that, we know it was false but we haven’t been told by the Dubai police what it was.
“No, he was a man who tried to defend his people against ethnic cleansing”
Which is your interpretation of Israel defending itself against people like Al-Mabhouh who bought weapons aimed at killing Israeli civilians. But however you look at it he was a legitimate target even by your own reasoning. If he fought for Hamas against Israel he knew better than you that he was a legitimate target and no doubt he accepted that risk. And no that does not mean that I accept that Mossad killed him. There is still absolutely no evidence that would stand up in any court (except perhaps a Hamas court) to prove Mossad did anything. Show us what you believe constitutes evidence.
goodDonkey at 01:17 PM JST - 27th February
I have never said that Mossad has never made mistakes, they of course have, but this insanity in Dubai is not an operation gone wrong, as Kinniku said it didn’t go wrong. But 26 or more people to kill one and they all end up on CCTV and all leave their photos though not their true identity. Mossad can like any agency make mistakes, but this is ridiculous. And it isn’t like anything Mossad has ever been known to have done before. There is something very wrong with this and it is this “wrongness” that makes me believe this is no Mossad. And yes I do generally defend Israel, but I never lose sight of the fact that they do very often go over the top, they can be their own worst enemy in that respect. They are not perfect and there are times when even I think them monstrous in their actions and would say so. What I find stunning about your post is that you ignore the narrowness of Sabi and attack me, if you are sick of one surely you should be sick of us both. Maybe you should just read something else. No, I am not insulted by what you wrote, I really do believe in free expression and speech, but I also believe in balance.

Kinniku, please remember that Sabi does have a right to his opinion, this is a site where limited free speech is allowed, granted his opinion is based more on what he wants to believe rather than any hard evidence and although at other times he will tell us all that the world media (except of course JT) is controlled by Jewish interests now he believes everything they have to say about Mossad. Strange contradiction I know, but it is his opinion and he has a right to it so long as JT don’t take exception to what he writes. There is no evidence to Mossad being the killers, only masses of media speculation which is not unusual given the medias endless campaign to damn all things Isareli. As for governments asking Israeli to explain what is happening re the passports, well what else would they do given that the media have openly accused Israel of involvement in the killing and governments are always media lead, being fearful of losing votes.
One thing that I am curious about that seems to have got lost in the “Mossad did it” campaign is what false passport was al-Mabhouh travelling on and why is no fuss being made about that. After all it is surely just as insulting and wrong for him to have entered a “friendly” country like Dubai on false documents as it was for the killers to do so. What also might be seen as a little strange is that a man was killed, all be it a man that needed killing, yet the fuss is about passports. Personally I don’t believe this is down to Mossad, but in the end I really don’t care, a man who made killing his work was killed, how and by whom that was done really isn’t at all that important, the world became a little safer that day.

I do accept that Mossad kill people. It is a part of their job, like that or not. But what is developing in Dubai is seriously silly and Mossad has never been silly.

Look I’m sorry and I really don’t want to sound as though I’m being offensive but if you use John Prescott as a guide to what is happening in the world then you really need to rethink your world view, that man is a total idiot, how could you possibly take anything he says seriously?

A wild animal is a wild animal, in other words it doesn’t understand criminal law and so, without mens rea it cannot be held accountable for its actions. So thankfully no stupid human punishment. But then when you think about this whale was captured when it was two years old and has been in “prison” for 28 years for no crime whatsoever.
“People lined up to get into the park a day after the whale named Tilikum killed veteran trainer”
Now that is serious sick, what did they expect more killings?

Smoke and mirrors maybe, but this is getting silly, even at their most inept of Mossad operations has never been this stupid, not by a very long way. Even the resident anti Israelis here are going to have trouble believing this could be down to Mossad. By what we are now seeing they might as well have gone in on Israeli passports, that is assuming Israelis are allowed to enter Dubai. This is a frame up of Mossad and a very bad one at that.

It’s sad that one man should have had so much put on him over the years and to be portrayed as he was in Tora tora tora was uncalled for. A surprise attack is by its nature meant to be a surprise, isn’t that what all military commanders try to achieve?

Hamas themselves deny these conspiracy theories of Hamas having been created by Israel and whom better than they should know? Mosab Yousef converted to Christianity, which for a Muslim is a near suicidal thing to do, perhaps especially if your father happens to also be a Hamas cleric. Also perhaps, Mr. Wabisabi, you should concentrate on the near possible rather than the far-fetched and extremely improbable because doing so might enhance your credibility. You are doing yourself and the discussion no favours by trying to defend the indefensible with reasoning that is a little too fantastic. It becomes far too difficult to maintain a serious discussion about a reality when confronted with the fantastic. The very idea that Hamas is still a charitable organisation is nonsense, how many other charities can you name that carry AK47s, send out suicide bombers and own and fire rockets at their neighbours. And kill and imprison their own people that happen to not agree with them?

There isn’t that much to read out there.

“Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI)’s largest and most advanced UAV – the Heron TP has recently reached a new technological and operational record, when it flew, for a substantial period of time, at an altitude of 40,000 ft. The Heron TP UAV reached this altitude in less than one hour of flight. It flew for three hours and landed perfectly. The Heron TP is powered by a powerful 1,200 hp Turbo-Prop engine. Its maximum takeoff weight is 4650 Kg, Wing span of 26 meter, and it can loiter for 36 hours.”

"Israel is trusted to behave responsibly "
Really if you wish to attack what I said you should quote all of what was written, not just the part that suits your reasoning. I said…….
“Israel is trusted to behave responsibly when it comes to issues of this magnitude.”
Well, as far as I know they haven’t popped off any nukes behind anybodies back that I know of and they have had them for quite some time and been pushed into some very tight corners by their ever so friendly neighbours. Also, perhaps, like a lot of us they get a little tired of listening to a gutless proArab UN that would leave them defenceless if it had its way. Now are you going to tell me that you have faith in the UN? Thought not, most intelligent people wouldn’t even stoop that low even to win an argument.

I don’t know what happened here any more that anybody else on this site, but I would ask you all to remember that the Taliban live and fight with their families close by. This may well seem like a group of civilians now, once all weapons have been removed by the survivors, but were they civilians before the bomb was dropped? I don’t know and neither does anybody else here so let’s wait and see before we condemn this “accident”.

IvanCoughalot “Stop messing about with sophistry, Skip. If a muslim country revealed a new fleet of weapons, there'd be demands for action against them.”
Skip is doing perfectly well without my help, but allow me to try and answer this for him, he can agree or object later. As Sabi as pointed out Israel has had nuclear weapons for a long time now. But what he fails to say is that the west has never been worried that they would be used, in other words Israel is trusted to behave responsibly when it comes to issues of this magnitude. Iran as an exporter of weapons to terrorist groups that are actively attacking Israel has shown that it cannot be trusted. Israel may say that it dislikes the current government of Iran, but it does not wish for the country of Iran to cease to exist, Iran however has expressed the desire that Israel cease to exist.
If the attacks on Israel stopped today Israel could be the best thing that has happened to the Middle East in the last 1000 years, but that isn’t going to happen and so Israel is going to need to find the means of defending itself because it is an island of civilisation in a sea of Islamic barbarity, that same Islam that brought an end to what was a promising Arab civilisation. That same Islam that is contaminating the west today. I may be more extreme in my dislike of Islam than either Skipthesong or Kinniku but I think we might all agree that given that Israel does exist on an equal footing as other mandated countries (mostly Arab), for example Iraq, is not hypocritical to ask that Israel give up land while not asking the same of, for example, Iraq which is also a British construct? And just to perhaps to help with the understanding of Israel’s victimhood, Israel was given its independence in 1948 and within weeks the united Arab armies attacked and some of those Arab armies were lead by British officers and Jordan, Syria and Egypt still occupied land that was once Palestine, but I do no hear anybody asking that this land be given back to the poor Palestinians.

Use Japan today’s site and you can get to meet all sorts of interesting people, Nigerians needing money, Koreans that really want to visit you. No, I haven’t used it but a few years ago a friend did and he got some seriously odd comebacks. As to the question, the best way for those that are in need is money and if you don’t have any try to look as though you have, it may be shallow and dishonest but it is at least a beginning for those that seem to have trouble talking with members of the opposite sex.

Is Elton John a good artist? Like or dislike isn’t really a issue, the answer is yes, he has produced a lot of very good music in his time. As such he as become an incredibly well known person, for his music. But how does that qualify him to use that celebrity to express opinions that so many people will find insulting? We have seen what people like Geldof, Bono and Anne Lenox do with their celebrity, are any of these people qualified simply because they can make music? With celebrity must come some responsibility for what they say and do otherwise the unthinkable will one day happen and we might have an actor as president and where might that lead? I rate Jesus, the tooth fairy and Father xmas as all being much the same, but I don’t take what pop stars think very seriously, unless it is about their own music, which this wasn’t.
