I can't handle news like this anymore. It seems like every day I read about some parent abusing/killing their kid because he/she wouldn't stop crying. I have noticed people (here) often just let their children cry and cry without addressing the situation at hand, much less comfort the child.

*I am a believer in "Spare the rod, and spoil the child" I know that some parents abuse their children and also their responsibilities, but children need discipline. A smack on the backside never did anyone any harm. If there had been more such discipline of the brats going around…
