He was being polite and respectful. Unlike many of the critics.

It makes me sick to see people criticise efforts to demonstrate humility. As many have commented here already, his critics will find ANY excuse to target him, and since the content of their criticism is so incredibly inane, it…

Wow - must have had a hard time trying to think about what to write. Had the author listed continual events like this happening I'd understand the motive behind writing it. The fact seems to be having been just pipped to a seat one evening whilst carrying some heavy shopping.…

Though this is Japan's first one, I believe the US already has open-skies agreements with several other countries. The US has always been looking to make open-skies deals where its airlines could stand to gain (the other countries look to gain too).

The difference is thatthe Open Skies agreement with…

JR East promoting LED lights should be the Headline. The article does not provide scientific evidence to support that these lights discourage suicides also number of people committing suicide on JR east tracks seems too small.

This will result in more US airlines providing more flights to non US countries out of Japan's airports. Won't we be lucky!

Conversely, Japan's airlines can do the same out of US airports. A really balanced deal, right? US should open up the domestic market and provide some quality opposition!

Another post stating that there are issues with paying people in NGO's but no figures. I agree with Triumvere's last comment that it is the time to do some serious research, but lets do that before tainting the work of charities. People work at charitable organisations, and they require certain…

Most of the projects do not have a long term benefit for the people they try to help. In a way, it is a means of creating some extra jobs and to help ex-bureaucrats like wanderlust says.

Whereas I don't try to defend this position, I'm keen to learn more.…

Looks like a fund raiser for 'Save the Children Japan", an organisation that seems to do...nothing. Very few Japanese "Charities" seem to do anything other than provide jobs for ex-bureaucrats, with an extremely high percentage of their funds being spent on "administration", and little on their targets.

    This is interesting.…

Anyone who thinks standing up to bullies is a viable option without decent support might be dreaming. This was a desparate act by desparate people, probably confused by a lack of oversight by their carers. Sadly, all it would take was for one of the classmates to have a word…
